Back from the IPL, Australian speedster Brett Lee is now busy with his music career and is set to release his band White Shoe Theory’s maiden single.
The affable pacer, who competed for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, does back-up vocals and plays bass in the band which he founded with friend Mick Vawdon.
“We’re going to launch our single shortly, so it’s all happening,” Lee was quoted as saying by The Daily Telegraph.
“We’re working out which one we want to release first,” he added.
The 34-year-old performed in eight shows in India with the band last year.
“For me, music is my outlet; the guitar is the first thing to be packed,” he said.
The strapping six-footer, who split from wife Liz Kemp in 2008, also denied reports that he was seeing Bollywood star and IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta.
“I’m single. Obviously with my life and what I’ve got coming up I’m just focused on my son, who is the most important thing in my life,” he said.
