Greetings everyone! Welcome to CricketCountry’s live match coverage of the second One Day International (ODI) between Afghanistan and Scotland. After the first ODI was abandoned due to rain, the second one today at the Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh promises some exciting cricket between the two teams. Rahmat Shah’s maiden century was the talking point from the first ODI as he made a 123-ball 100 with 8 fours and a six. Scotland’s bowlers should look to learn from the first game as they had got early wickets, but failed to get rid of the Afghanistan middle-order. All in all, the second ODI promises to entertain as both teams go for a win. Hope the weather doesn’t play spoilsport. Sit back and enjoy as we bring you live action. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: Scotland vs Afghanistan 2016, 2nd ODI at Edinburgh

TOSS: Afghanistan (Bat)

Afghanistan did not get off to a good start as they came out to bat first. Noor Ali Zadran and Mohammad Shahzad were back in the pavilion early. Shehzad though, did score 26 and struck 5 fours in his innings. Javed Ahmadi’s and Asghar Stanikzai’s respective partnerships with Rahmat Shah were necessary to control things for Afghanistan. But it was Najibullah Zadran’s fantastic innings of 89 in just 53 balls that would have laid the foundation for their win against Scotland. At 283-4, in 47.2 overs, rain interupted the proceedings and the match was called off. SCO vs AFG 2016, 2nd ODI at Edinburgh: Predictions and Preview

The other bowlers proved to expensive and Scotland therefore will have to improve with their bowling.  They would also like their batters to get some time in the middle and see how they perform as they missed out on the chance to bat in the rain-affected first ODI.
