Bangladesh were 133 for 2, having lost two quick wickets after their openers Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar slamming their respective half-centuries. Tamim scored 57 off 112 balls with the help of 6 boundaries, and Soumya, who has recently been promoted at the top in the order, scored a resolute 66. Soumya faced 133 balls and struck 7 boundaries and 1 six to lead Bangladesh’s reply, which would certainly have surprised the hosts who were looking to make early inroads into the opposition camp.
