Good Evening! Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Match 2 of the 2015-16 Big Bash League (BBL) between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Stars at the Adelaide Oval. I am Ayush Gupta, and I will bring you the live updates of the game. Adelaide, who are indeed one of the star studded side of the BBL have failed to feature in the final of the competition till date, over the past five seasons. However, the Stars, who are certainly the most star-studded side in the whole competition, have managed to reach the semi-finals, but could not progress to the final. Both the teams would aim for a final sot this season as they begin their group stage campaign from hereon.
LIVE CRICKET SCORE: MS 168/7 in 20 Overs; BATTING: James Faulkner 10 (10), John Hastings 16 (8) — STRIKERS WIN!!!! Impressive performance by the home teams the Stars just couldn’t live up to the expectations and failed to fire adequately despite given a number of lifelines.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: MS 42/0 in 5 Overs; BATTING: Marcus Stoinis 26 (19), Luke Wright 13 (11) — Good start to the chase so far by the Stars, however, it is the three dropped catches and a stumping chance miss that have saved the Stars from a possible collapse.

Adelaide, who have stars like Brad Hodge, Mahela Jayawardene, Ben Laughlin, Adil Rashid, Kane Richardson, Craig Simmons and many more can certainly inflict great damage to the opponent team. However, when it comes to the Stars, they have indeed the stars in the side, with the likes of David Hussey, James Faulkner, John Hastings, Ben Hilfenhaus, Glenn Maxwell, Kevin Pietersen, Luke Wright and many more, who can just destroy the opponent in no time. Thus, it surely won’t be an easy ride for the strikers, even at their home turf.
Squads:
Adelaide Strikers: Jono Dean, Travis Head, Brad Hodge (c), Jon Holland, Mahela Jayawardene, Alex Keath, Hamish Kingston, Ben Laughlin, Jake Lehmann, Tim Ludeman, Michael Neser, Gary Putland, Adil Rashid, Kane Richardson, Alex Ross, Craig Simmons, Kelvin Smith, Billy Stanlake.
Melbourne Stars: David Hussey (c), Michael Beer, Scott Boland, James Faulkner, Seb Gotch, Evan Gulbis, Peter Handscomb, Sam Harper, John Hastings, Ben Hilfenhaus, Glenn Maxwell, Kevin Pietersen, Rob Quiney, Marcus Stoinis, Tom Triffitt, Daniel Worrall, Luke Wright, Adam Zampa.
