Good Afternoon! Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Match 3 of the 2015-16 Big Bash League (BBL), between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades at The Gabba in Brisbane. I am Rishad D’Souza and I will be bringing you the live updates of what is expected to be an exciting encounter. Brisbane, who have been a dominant force in the format, ever since the T20 cricket came into play, have not managed to win the tournament so far, although they have played the semi-finals. Renegades, too have a similar story as they too have the big guns to fore, but have failed to make it past the group stage any season. Both the teams expect a turnaround this season.

Live Cricket Score Melbourne Renegades 184/3 | 19.3 overs | Batting: Dwayne Bravo 22(9), Matthew Wade 11(6): Fantastic victory for the Renegades scripted by the likes of Aaron Finch, Cameron White, Dwayne Bravo and to an extent by world boss Chris Gayle. It was well set up by Finch before White and Bravo gave the finishing touches.  Finch got a 45-ball 65 while White scored a 41-ball 55. The wickets did not come in regular intervals for the Heat and it cost them heavily. They have lost by seven wickets.

Live Cricket Score Melbourne Renegades 75/1 | 10 overs | Batting: Cameron White 18(19), Aaron Finch 30(25): Melbourne Heat are going at a steady rate. Aaron Finch has been there since the start and showed promise in the very first over itself. Chris Gayle struck a few lusty blows but fell for a 23-ball 16. The required rate is now up and over 10 runs but with that many wickets in hand there is a possibility to track that down.

Live Cricket Score Brisbane Heat 180/5 | 20 overs | Batting: Ben Cutting 30(14), James Hopes 24(12): Brisbane Heat will be adequately satisfied with their effort here. They were not off to the most promising start but they got into the act later into the innings. They could have posted a lot more perhaps, if one of their many batsmen who got starts batted on for longer. The highest score in the innings came to the name of 35. Ben Cutting was the next best with an unbeaten, quickfire 30 in the end. Doherty was the pick of the bowlers having taken two wickets for 29 runs in his four overs. OUT! Chris Lynn 35(20) c Cooper b Bravo, OUT! Nathan Reardon 28(22) c Beaton b Rimmington

Live Cricket Score Brisbane Heat 114/3 | 14 overs | Batting: Chris Lynn 35(19), Nathan Reardon 17(13): It’s a rather balanced match at the moment. Quite an exciting match. Joe Burns was dismissed by Xavier Doherty earlier but Chris Lynn and Nathan Reardon have made ammends. It’s going quite smooth at the moment for Brisbane Heat at the moment but another wicket could restore that balance. OUT! Joe Burns 16(16) c Cooper b Doherty

Live Cricket Score Brisbane Heat 57/2 | 8 overs | Batting: Joe Burns 13(12): Brisbane Heat have been served another setback just when they were getting themselves on track. It’s Lendl Simmons who has been dismissed by a dilligent, single-minded Xavier Doherty. He tried to play the late cut off a flighted delivery but was beaten and was bowled. OUT! Lendl Simmons 29(25) b Doherty

Live Cricket Score Brisbane Heat 12/1 | 3 overs | Batting: Lendl Simmons 1(6), Joe Burns 1(1): It’s not the ideal start for Brisbane Heat after opting to bat on winning the toss on their home ground. Chris Tremain has bowled a fantastic line with good accuracy and has managed to strike with a wicket after having the batsmen bogged down. Peirson looked good in his brief stay but has been taken out of the equation. Tremain is getting extra bounce. OUT! Jimmy Peirson 10 (11) b Tremain

TOSS UPDATE: Brisbane Heat won the toss and elected to bat first

Brisbane, who have big guns like James Hope, Samuel Badree, Joe Burns, Ben Cutting, Chris Lynn, Brendon McCullum, Lendl Simmons and many more, who can indeed play a crucial role and knock in the side. Thus, the tie indeed promises to be a thriller.
