Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the third match of the Deodhar Trophy 2015-16 between Gujarat and India A at Green Park, Kanpur. This is Shruti Hariharan, and I shall keep you updated with the events of the match as and when they happen. Deodhar Trophy will take between teams, i.e. India A, India B and Gujarat. As witnessed, India B won both the first and the second match against India A and Gujarat. The third match will be played between Gujarat and India A as the winner will qualify to meet India B at final.


India A vs Gujarat: India A 273/4 in 47.2 overs | Target 273 | Batting: Kedar Jadhav 91 (61), Naman Ojha 26 (27): India A have played a comfortable innings and sail through the finals against India B. Guharat once again face a loss after their loss in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Kedar Jadhav played an excellent innings of 91 from just 61 balls that has lead his team to win. Ambati Rayudu also scored his half-century and contributed to the scoreboard. Over all India A played it smartly and win a spot in finals.


India A vs Gujarat: India A 257/4 in 46 overs | Target 273 | Batting: Kedar Jadhav 82 (56), Naman Ojha 19 (24): India A are leading to their victory and waiting to earn their spot in finals against India B. Gujarat did pick some wickets on the way but remained unsuccessful. Kedar Jadhav is approaching his century and Naman Ojha is on crease to support Jadhav. India A require 12 runs to win.


India A vs Gujarat: India A 149/3 in 31 overs | Target 273 | Batting: Ambati Rayudu 49 (64), Kedar Jadhav 22 (17): India A have lost three wickets with FY Fazal scored his century and got out following Murali Vijay and Sudip Chatterjee. Gujarat’s Mehul Patel picked two wickets and Ambati Rayudu who has completed his half-century. 


India A vs Gujarat: India A 41/1 in 10 overs | Target 273 | Batting: FY Fazal 20 (31), Sudip Chatterjee 2 (8): India A are moving pretty slow with the runs on board and have also lost a wicket on the way with Murali Vijay being picked by Mehul Patel. Gujarat have given good spells restricting India A and with a wicket on hand they are on lead.


India A vs Gujarat: India A 5/0 in 2 overs | Target 273 | Batting: FY Fazal 1 (7), Murali Vijay 0 (1): FY Fazal and Murali Vijay are on crease opening the innings for India A. Gujarat have posed a huge total in spite of being all out and India A equally need to win this game and secure a spot at finals. Gujarat RB Kalaria to start the spells.


India A vs Gujarat: Gujarat 272 in 49.2 overs | Batting: Mehul Patel 2 (4): Gujarat were all out for 272 within 49.2 overs. Parthiv Patel was the highest run scorer for Gujarat with leading his side to a grand total of 272. Gujarat started losing the battle once Parthiv Patel was out of crease and the rest could not score beyond 20 runs on board. AR Mishra and Parvez Rasool were leading wicket takers for India A with 3 wickets each and restricted Gujarat as they could.


India A vs Gujarat: Gujarat 230/7 in 44.1 overs | Batting: RB Kalaria 1 (1), K B Panchal 8 (5): After a massive innings of Parthiv Patel of 119 from 124 balls he was OUT! India A have managed to pick wickets at regular intervals over the last few overs and new entry Siddharth Kaul picks his wicket. India A have restricted Gujarat well but Gujarat look to finish the innings at 250 runs.


India A vs Gujarat: Gujarat 211/5  in 40 overs | Batting: Parthiv Patel 115 (117), Raxlee Taylor 8 (9): Parthiv is cruising through his innings by scoring his century but Gujarat did lose a lot of wickets on the way with Parvez Rasool picking 3 wickets for India A. Gujarat are also playing an amazing innings with and are already 200 up within 40 overs.


India A vs Gujarat: Gujarat 150/2 in 30 overs | Batting: Parthiv Patel 88 (94), Chirag Gandhi 6 (11): Parthiv is approaching his century and is playing a tremendous innings so far. Another wicket down of MC Juneja by Parvez Rasool. India A are trying to restrict Gujarat in the best possible way and Gujarat are playing at a run rate of 5


India A vs Gujarat: Gujarat 99/1 in 20 overs | Batting: Parthiv Patel 60 (67), MC Juneja 7 (10): In the last 10 overs, Gujarat lost a wicket of Panchal for 26 runs and with the way he was batting it looked he was struggling to get runs on board. Parthiv has successfully completed his half-century and is playing in good form at the moment. Gujarat are playing well and can easily pose a huge total against India A. Shardul gave a breakthrough for India A by picking wicket of Panchal.


India A vs Gujarat: Gujarat 38/0 in 10 overs | Batting: Parthiv Patel 25 (33), PK Panchal 12 (27): Parthiv Patel and Panchal are still moving strong and going well with a run rate of 4.43 and no wickets down. Gujarat need to maintain this standard to keep the momentum going on


India A vs Gujarat: Gujarat 21/0 in 5 overs | Batting: Parthiv Patel 11 (14), PK Panchal 9 (16): Parthiv Patel is off to a great start with maximum runs on board after 5 overs while Panchal is struggling to get runs and strike the bat for boundaries. As of now Gujarat are playing with run rate of 4.06 and if they can push it a little further, they can easily pose a commendable total on board


India A vs Gujarat: Gujarat 5/0 in 1 over | Batting: Parthiv Patel 5 (5), PK Panchal 0 (1): India A won the toss and elected to field first. After the loss against India B on Tuesday, Gujarat will want to win this match and go through the finals. This is also an important match for India A after their first loss against India B. Gujarat have Parthiv Patel and PK Panchal on field to open the innings for their side.Shardul has opened the spells for India A.


The second match saw a brilliant performance from India B. Batting first, they put up a total of 280, which is quite good looking at the pitch. Opener and captain Unmukt Chand led the team from front scoring 63 off 70 balls and emerged as the highest scorer of the side while some important contributions came from Dinesh Karthik who scored 47 off 51 and Stuart Binny who scored 41 off 48 deliveries.

Chasing the target, Gujarat did a very good job as even after losing the top order within the team score of 50, they went on and gave a good fight. Manpreet Juneja scored a 49-ball century while he was well supported by Rujul Bhatt who scored 45. But the best performance came from Chirag Gandhi who scored a 77-ball 100 but failed to take his team to a victory.

Gujarat bowlers Mehul Patel remained the highest wicket taker of the match bagging three wickets while the best performance came from Dhawal Kulkarni as he took 2 for 21 and finished with a brilliant economy of 2.10
