Good Afternoon, नमस्कार! Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog session of the first day of the Duleep Trophy 2017-18 tie between India Blue and India Green at Green Park in Kanpur. We will be bringing to you the live updates from this tie. Although Suresh Raina was unimpressed with the rains ruining a winning game for India Blue, they are in a strong position after posing a threat to India Red with their first innings lead. When they take on the Parthiv Patel-led India Green, all that Raina and co. need to be careful is of another defeat. India Blue tried to vary their game as per the situation.
The highlight for India Blue was the partnership between Deepak Hooda and Jaydev Unadkat. As for the bowling department, India Blue are boosted by the presence of Ankit Rajpoot. A draw has costed the side heavily, India Blue will look to avoid that right since the beginning. Many players were left out and it will be interesting to see, what XI does Raina ploy against India Green.
Green, on the other hand, lost their previous game. They are in desperate need of win. However, they did not have much to play around with the spin and which is why Kaushik Gandhi has been called into attack. R Samarth, Prashant Chopra and Karun Nair did a splendid job with the bat in the previous game while Murali Vijay, Ankit Bawne and Parthiv Patel haven’t made the opportunity count. Mayank Dagar and Shahbaz Nadeem would be the players to watch out for amongst the bowlers while more contribution would be required fro Mohammed Siraj and likes.
