Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live blog session of the first day of the Duleep Trophy 2017-18 Final  between India Red and India Blue at Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. We will be bringing to you the live updates from this  final game. India Red finished on top for the points table with 7 points from 2 games, while India Blue finished with 4 from as many games. The previous group game between both sides ended in a draw. Quite a few players will be eager to make an impression ahead of multiple domestic competitions in view. Suresh Raina, Ishant Sharma, Dinesh Karthik, Washington Sundar will eye a national team spot with New Zealand and Sri Lanka series on the horizon.  Quite a few players from Indian Premier League (IPL) will be on show— Ishan Kishan, Jaydev Unadkat, Siddarth Kaul and Basil Thampi will be keenly observed.

The Duleep Trophy was a last moment addition to the domestic calendar after Technical Committee chief Sourav Ganguly intervened. The tournament has been one of the most disorganised ones in recent times.
