Hello and welcome to CricketCountry live blog of the England’s tour game against South Africa’s Invitational XI at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom. England, who are coming off an impressive series win over Paksitan, are running high on confidence as they look to take on South Africa and tame them in their own backyard. However, South Africa, who are coming off a 0-3 series loss against India recently have fresh wound, and would look to heall it against England as they play the series in their home turf, and they are indeed very dangerous when it comes to home condition. Thus, the odds are still in favour of South Africa as of now.

England had a steady start on Day 1 as they posted a challenging total of 470 in the first innings after winning the toss and electing to bat first. James taylor and Ben Stokes were the top scorers for England, striking twin blistering centuries, while Nick Compton scored a healthy 58, as Thandolwethy Mnyaka claimed three for 66 to bundle England for 470.
