Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day 2 of the Group C game of the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy between Hyderabad and Jammu & Kashmir, live from Hyderabad. Yesterday, Hyderabad won the toss and asked  J&K to bat first. Riding on brilliant batting performances by Mithun Manhas and Ian Chauhan, J&K were 331 for four by the end of first day. Manhas and Chauhan made 150 and 83 runs respectively. Manhas struck 21 fours and three sixes in his knock. It will be interesting to see if Parvez Rasool cracks a century today. He was batting 0n 61 at stumps yesterday. None of Hyderabad bowlers impressed on day one. If Hyderabad wishes to make a comeback in this match they have to get rid of Parvez Rasool early today morning because everyone knows that Rasool can be very destructive and he scores at a fast pace too. Live cricket scores Hyderabad 113/2 | Jammu & Kashmir 460 | Overs 41 | Batting: Tanmay Agarwal 57(125), Akshath Reddy 15(35): GH Vihari misjudges a Rohit Sharma’s delivery and gets bowled, he made 35. Hyderabad are trailing by 347 runs now. Tanmay Agarwal has reached his half century and is batting on 57 right now with the help of eight boundaries and a six. Sudeep Tyagi is next in batting order if another wicket falls. OUT! GH Vihari b Rohit Sharma 35(79)

Live cricket scores Hyderabad 71/1 | Jammu & Kashmir 460 | Overs 27 | Batting: Tanmay Agarwal 36(84), GH Vihari 30(71): Hyderabad are batting well; they have reached 71 and have lost only one wicket that too long back in the fourth over. Tanmay Agarwal and GH Vihari’s partnership is now worth 65 runs. Hyderabad are still trailing by 389 runs.

Live cricket scores Hyderabad 18/1 | Jammu & Kashmir 460 | Overs 7.2 | Batting: Tanmay Agarwal 10(23), GH Vihari 6(11): Hyderabad have lost their first wicket Danny Derek Prince. Danny got out leg-before-wicket on a Rohit Sharma’s delivery. Hyderabad have a tough job ahead, they cannot afford to lose any more wickets. Currently, Tanmay Agarwal and GH Vihari are at the crease batting on 10 and six respectively. OUT! Danny Derek Prince lbw Rohit Sharma 1(10)

Live cricket scores Jammu & Kashmir 460 | Overs 131.2 | Batting: Rohit Sharma 0(1): Ram Dayal is bowled just two short of his half century. Soon their last two batsmen also depart and J&K are bowled out for 460 which is a good score. Hyderabad will have to bat extremely well to get close to it. However, J&K would be little disappointed to miss out in getting to 500 and hence go in a better frame of mind when they take the field. OUT! Ram Dayal b Mehdi Hasan 48(109), OUT!  Zahoor Sofi c Vihari b Anwar Ahmed Khan 21(22), OUT! Umar Nazir c Mehdi Hasan b Anwar Ahmed Khan 4(15)

Live cricket scores Jammu & Kashmir 428/7 | Overs 124.3 | Batting: Ram Dayal 27(86), Zahoor Sofi 19(20): Zahoor Sofi came to bat after Bandeep’s wicket. He is batting at almost a run a ball on 19 while Ram Dayal at the other end is batting on a patient 27. J&K’s lower-order batters are showing resistance and Ram and Sofis’s partnership has fetched their team 25 runs so far. Looks like they are determined to get to the magic figure of 500. It will be very difficult for Hyderabad if J&K reach 500 because apart from it being a mammoth first innings score, they will be under tremendous pressure because their batting is not strong and Jammu & Kashmir will also hold the psychological edge then.

Live cricket scores Jammu & Kashmir 403/7 | Overs 119.4 | Batting: Ram Dayal 19(76): Jammu and Kashmir lose their seventh wicket Bandeep Singh for 34 runs. Bandeep got out leg-before-wicket on a CV Milind’s delivery. Bandeep and Ram Dayal’s partnership fetched their team 46 valuable runs. Credit should got to Ram also for playing sensibly and trying to score only on lose deliveries. Let’s see if J&K can go past 450. OUT! Bandeep Singh lbw CV Milind 34(98)

Live cricket scores Jammu & Kashmir 364/6 | Overs 102 | Batting: Bandeep Singh 13(50), Ram Dayal 3(16): Jammu and Kahsmir have lost two quick wickets today but the key wicket was that of Parvez Rasool who added just 15 runs to his overnight score of 61 and perished on 75. Asif Khan who came next followed suit and was out for a duck. At present Bandeep Singh and Ram Dayal are at the crease batting on 13 and three respectively. J&K were looking good to get past 500 by today but now it’s looking difficult for them to get to 450 also. At this moment Ram Dayal’s job should be to give Bandeep Singh maximum strike. Bandeep took time to settle down and maybe we’ll see him change his batting gear soon. OUT! Parvez Rasool c Sumanth Kolla b Anwar Ahmed Khan 75(120), OUT!  Asif Khan b Sudeep Tyagi 0(5)

It is also crucial to take Rasool’s wicket because he is in awesome touch in this tournament. He is currently the fifth highest run-getter in the series.  J&K fans will be hoping that their team gets to 500 today but for that they need good contribution from the lower-order.
