Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day 3 of the Group C game of the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy between Hyderabad and Jammu & Kashmir, live from Hyderabad. Hyderabad were 113 for the loss of two wickets at stumps yesterday i.e. on Day two of the match. This was in reply to Jammu & Kashmir’s hefty first innings score of  460. Parvez Rasool perished early in the morning yesterday, he made 75 while lower-order batsman Ram Dayal contributed with a well played 48. Both Hyderabad wickets which fell yesterday were claimed by Rohit Sharma. Hyderabad are still trailing by 347 runs as of now. Opener Tanmay Agarwal reached his half century and was batting on 57 at stumps yesterday with the help of eight boundaries and a six. Sudeep Tyagi is next in batting order if another wicket falls.  Hyderabad fans will like that the partnership between Tanmay Agarwal and Akshath Reddy (which has already fetched them 31 runs) grows and takes them closer to J&K’s first innings score. Batting on 56, he has struck eight boundaries in his knock.  After losing two back to back wickets on 13, Hyderabad have recovered with this partnership which is now worth 109 runs and going strong. J&K bowlers have not shown that killer instinct which they exhibited in the second innings of the match. The bowling has at times looked wayward while good and sudden variations were practically absent.

Hyderabad are now trailing by 180 runs which is less than the mandatory 200 runs to enforce a follow-on; good for Hyderabad. Currently, B Anirudh and Sumath Kolla are batting; they have to do damage repair. Hyderabad should aim to at least avert a follow-on. They need 79 more runs to do so. OUT! Tanmay Agarwal c Ian Chauhan b Zahoor Sofi 71(172), OUT! Akshath Reddy c Ian Chauhan b Umar Nazir 35(72), OUT! Ahmed Quadri b Umar Nazir 0(8)

Live cricket scores Hyderabad 134/2 | Jammu & Kashmir 460 | Overs 49 | Batting: Tanmay Agarwal 63(152), Akshath Reddy 28(57): Hyderabad have added 21 runs today to their overnight score of 113 and they haven’t loss any wicket today. Tanmay Agarwal is batting on 63 with the help of nine boundaries and a six. Akshath Reddy is at the other end batting on 28.  Hyderabad are trailing by 326 runs. This high scoring encounter is heading towards a draw but still the other results cannot be ruled out.

J&K bowlers on the other hand should make sure that the efforts of their batsmen count who batted so brilliantly in the first day and the first session of the second day. They should try some variations in their bowling today, their bowling lacked variations yesterday. Just bowling a good line and length doesn’t works sometimes.
