Good Morning! Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016 played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet. We will be bringing you all the live updates of Match 5 between Pakistan U19 vs Afghanistan U19. A total of 48 matches are to be played with 16 teams participating of which nine are full members and seven are associate/affiliate members. This tournament will decider for teams to proceed to the huge event of ICC World Twenty20 2016 which are scheduled to begin from March 8 at Australia. Pakistan U19 and Afghanistan U19 have lost single match in warm-up sessions and have also won matches in warm-up sessions. It will be interesting to see who makes it through to the next level. Afghanistan’s U-19 side fared well in their warm-up matches, beating Ireland and running New Zealand really close. The Pakistan U-19 team also met similar fortunes in the warm up ties with Zeeshan Malik and Umair Masood who lead their team to win and the bowlers got an opportunity to pick wickets. They cruised to a big 110-run victory over Nepal in the first clash but were handed a five-wicket defeat by their Indian counterparts in the second clash of the warm up rounds. Pakistan will be led by opening batsman Zeeshan Malik, while Afghanistan’s troops will be paraded by top order batsman Ihsanullah. Afghanistan U19 Karim Janat and Zia-ur-Rehman are playing showed some beautiful spells to lead Afghanistan to their win. This being the first game in the tournament for either side, the players will put in that extra effort to try and make it a winning start. Pakistan will enter as favorites, but expect Afghanistan to fight hard.
