Good morning/ afternoon! Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017. Before the tournament starts, the teams will play a few warm up matches. Today, There will be two warm-up games and I, Shruti Hariharan, will bring to you all the live scores and updates from the match. In the first match today, Australia Women will take on South Africa Women at the Lime Kilns Ground, Oakham while in the second match Pakistan Women will face West Indies Women at the Grace Road, Leicester. Australia will be the favourites for the first match while West Indies will be the favourites for the second.
Where West Indies are entering after a quality show against India in the ODIs last year, Pakistan Women will hope to continue the momentum set by Pakistan men in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Australia have been working hard for the World Cup through their practice sessions. They have even appreciated the return of the some players in other teams. They will hope to defend their champions tag in World Cup.
South Africa Women are coming with recent quadrangular series defeat against India in the final at their own backyard. Prior to that, they even lost a close World Cup Qualifier against India. They would want to take the weaknesses from them and develop into strength.
