Good morning/afternoon! Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017. Before the tournament starts, all the teams will play few warm-up matches to get into the groove before the commencement of the main draw. Today, there will be two warm-up games and we at CricketCountry will bring to you all the live scores and updates from the match. In the first match for the day, India Women will take on Sri Lanka Women at Queen’s Park, Chesterfield while in the second match England Women will face New Zealand Women at County Ground, Derby. India will be the favorites for the first match while England vs New Zealand is likely to be a grueling affair.

In India’s first match, New Zealand handed them a resounding defeat by 7 wickets. Batting first, they managed just 130 runs. Mona Meshram and Poonam Raut contributed 33 and 30 runs respectively. New Zealand in reply, managed to chase down the target in just 26.3 overs with Rachel Priest hitting 52 runs.

England, on the other hand, bundled out Sri Lanka for just 155 runs with Chamari Attapatu top-scoring with 33. England chased down the target with much ease as Sarah Taylor striking an unbeaten 49. Their side won the match by 8 wickets.
