India suffered a five-wicket defeat in the tournament opener against hosts Sri Lanka. India could not defend 175 and their inexperienced bowling attack received a severe pounding from Kusal Perera. Bangladesh too are without their best player and regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan. They have never won a T20I against India, having lost all their previous five encounters. With the likes of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Kuldeep Yadav missing in the Indian ranks, this may be Bangladesh’s best chance to add to their bare column.
