India grabbed three wickets of Cricket Australia Chairman’s XI in the second session of second day’s play of the second warm-up match at Canberra.
Ed Cowan of Cricket Australia’s Chairman’s XI scored a half-century in Australia’s innings.
Earlier, India were dismissed for 269 runs before lunch on day two of the second warm-up match against the Cricket Australia’s Chairman XI.
Kohli was India’s saviour with a valiant century which guided India to a respectable total of 269 runs.
CA Chairman’s XI are still trailing India by 153 runs.
Brief Score: India 269 (Virat Kohli 132, Rohit Sharma 47, Gautam Gambhir 24; Jon Holland 6 for 70, Peter George 2 for 62) lead Cricket Australia Chariman’s XI 116 for 3 (Ed Cowan 65*, Tom Cooper; Ravichandran Ashwin 1 for 18, Abhimanyu Mithun 1 for 23) by 153 runs.
