India are in desperate need to get rid of set England batsmen, Jonathan Trott and Ian Bell, if they are to stand any chance of levelling the four-match series here at Jamtha.

Trott and Bell carried forward their great form from Day Four and denied India a much-needed breakthrough in the first session of Day Five.

The England No 3, Trott, scored his first century of the series against India as he, along with Bell, put his side 244 runs ahead with two sessions to go in the match.

The duo now share an unbeaten 146-run partnership going into the second session.
