England will rely on wicket-keeper batsman Matt Prior (34 not out) and debutant Joe Root (31 not out) to take them through to safety on Day Two of the fourth Test against India at Nagpur. England will begin the day with the score on 199 for five, after a top-order crumble on the first day.
Prior and Root shared a 60-run partnership to take England to stumps on Day One after England were tottering at 139 for five at one stage.
For India, debutant all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was among the wickets, along with pacer Ishant Sharma. Jadeja picked up danger man Kevin Pietersen (73) too.
