Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the first Test between India Men and Sri Lanka Men at Galle. I am Vishal Mehra and like the preceding days, I will bring you the live updates and interesting tweets throughout the fourth day. The Test has heavily swayed India’s way and skipper Virat Kohli, who had an off series against Australia is back to his scoring best. He is 24 short of his 17th Test hundred. He has earlier said that milestones mean nothing and it’s about team winning that matters. So will we see an overnight declaration? FULL SCORECARD: Day Four of the 1st Test between India Men and Sri Lanka Men
Having said so, there is plenty of time in the game but the uncertain bit is weather. India had dominated the Galle Test in 2015 until Dinesh Chandimal and Rangana Herath scripted a remarkable turnaround and turned the tides against visitor. This time that’s unlikely. Sri Lanka stare down the barrel. India have extended the lead to 498. Opener Abhinav Mukund too contributed with a brisk 81.
Earlier, India having put on 600 bowled Sri Lanka out for 291. It was Angelo Mathews’ 83 and Dilruwan Perera’s 92 not out that guided the hosts to respectability. Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers with a 3-for.

Day Four promises a lot more action. A Kohli hundred? Ashwin-Jadeja combining to dismantle Sri Lanka? Or a remarkable turnaround from the host camp like 2015? We will have to wait and watch.
