Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the second T20I between India and Sri Lanka at Indore. I am Vishal Mehra and I will bring you live updates from the game. The Holkar Stadium will be the 20th Indian ground and 97th overall to host a T20I. And this is one venue where India have a fantastic record. Sri Lanka have had a miserable 2017. In T20Is they have been more impressive, winning series in South Africa and Australia. They won 5, lost 8. Can they level the series at Indore?

Looking at their Cuttack performance, it doesn’t seem like it. Despite India trying several of their fringe players, Sri Lanka faced a humiliating 93-run loss in the first game. Sri Lanka have found no answer to the guile of Indian wrist spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav.

Sri Lanka will keep relying on their seasoned campaigners like Upul Tharanga, Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, etc. to bail them out in this do-or-die clash. Having lost the Tests and ODIs, this is Sri Lanka’s last hope to return back smiling is the T20 silverware. For that to happen this is a must-win game.

India won’t experiment enough as the trophy is still on the cards. Expect MS Dhoni to continue batting at No.4. Rohit Sharma will lead in his second T20I but the 30-year-old is amongst the most successful captains in this format. He has led Mumbai Indians (MI) to 3 IPL titles.

India: Rohit Sharma (c), KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Deepak Hooda, Basil Thampi, Jaydev Unadkat.
