And that’s a wrap. The Vadodara stadium was packed with big audience for the match and all to see Australia sealing the series 2-0 against India. The final ODI will now be held on Sunday at same venue.

  • 3:54 PM IST

200 up for India Women, Vastrakar slams a boundary to Carey.

  • 3:52 PM IST

Vastrakar gave a blazing start as soon as she arrived. However, the target seems to be fading away with every wicket falling. Shikha falls as well and Nicola Carey gets her maiden ODI wicket.

  • 3:26 PM IST

Jonassen bags her second wicket in the over and this time it is Sushma Verma. It is almost done for India.

  • 3:23 PM IST

Another one bites the dust and Deepti Sharma goes for 26. Jonassen gets her second. Looks like 2-0 is high on cards. India need 120 to win

  • 3:17 PM IST

Amanda Wellington has entered into the attack and she has triggered the collapse. First Harmanpreet and now Veda Krishnamurthy. Australia Women are on a roll here. India Women still need 129 to win. But we cannot underestimate Sushma Verma and Pooja Vastrakar. Can they weave the same magic as the first ODI?

  • 2:53 PM IST

India Women seem to be dragging themselves to the target of 288. Another 21 overs to go and 148 runs needed to win.

  • 2:21 PM IST

Ashleigh Gardner joins the party as well. Punam Raut goes for 27. Now enters Sharma ji ki beti. Deepti and Mithali, can they help India bounce back? Need 184 to win

  • 2:08 PM IST

Jess Jonassen finally gets a breakthrough. Mandhana goes for 67.

  • 2:05 PM IST

Mandhana has brought up her fifty and timely one. But India Women needs these guys to stick around. Already 82-run stand between them. Runs also stacking up for India. India Women still need 206 to win

  • 1:43 PM IST

That is slow but fifty partnership between Punam and Mandhana. The duo look in good stead and if they can speed up the pace, India can very well win this game. Yet, Mithali, Veda and Harmanpreet are yet to come in. India Women need 237 to win

  • 1:33 PM IST

Punam Raut is struggling against Australian bowlers. That is affecting Mandhana who went all guns blazing initially. A boundary per over is not going to help the India Women here. They need 248 to win

  • 1:16 PM IST

Punam Raut and Smriti Mandhana are going all out. With a target of 287 on board, India have no choice but attack the Australian bowlers. India Women 18/0, need 270 to win

  • 12:19 PM IST

Despite with 6 wickets down, Australia are on top with massive score of 270 on board. Indian bowlers faltered in the final overs, allowing Beth Mooney and Ellyse Perry bring up their fifties. Indian batters have a task on hand. Australia Women 271/6 after 48.4 overs

  • 11:44 AM IST

Mooney and Perry have picked up the pace well after fall of wickets. Australia have gone past the 200-run mark. Australia WOmen 204/4 after 40 overs

  • 11:15 AM IST

Wickets have tumbled for Australia in succession. Harmanpreet Kaur, Ekta Bisht and Shikha Pandey have scalped the wickets. The dangerous Bolton has been removed and misses out her century this time. Australia can still put up 200 on board if Mooney and Perry get going. Australia Women 154/4 after 33 overs

  • 10:49 AM IST

Another wicket down for Australia and this time it is skipper Lanning. Punam Raut scalps her first. Mithali juggling with bowlers worked the trick. Can India bounce back from here? Australia Women 130/2 after 26.3 overs

  • 10:24 AM IST

That is 100 up for Australia Women. Some really calculative shots from Lanning and Bolton here. Counter attacking the Indian bowlers well.

  • 10:13 AM IST

Bolton is on 47. Another century on cards for her today? Lanning, on the other hand, is taking her time to settle. And as we speak its a fifty for Bolton. She is proving to be a backbone for her side. Australia Women 82/1 after 17 overs

  • 9:57 AM IST

Ekta Bisht enters and the consecutive boundaries for Bolton. She seems to be unfazed by the wicket here.

  • 9:54 AM IST

And that is the first break through for India Women. Poonam Yadav comes and hands the first wicket of Alyssa Healy. Australia 54/1 after 12.5 overs

  • 9:47 AM IST

Australia Women are almost reaching the 50-run mark here. Excellent bowling from India, this. Good length, not giving much away to the openers unlike the previous game. Yet, Bolton and Healy are keeping the boundaries coming their way every over. Australia Women 48/0 after 11 overs

  • 9:35 AM IST

A lot happened in Deepti Sharma’s over. Two missed opportunities, one by Mithali and the other by Smriti Mandhana. All of Bolton. Another dangerous game by Bolton cards which means? Australia Women 37/0 after 7 overs

  • 9:25 AM IST

Five overs gone and Australia look in good stead. These Australian openers had provided blistering start in the first game. No wonder, Lanning was happy losing the toss. Australia Women 26/0 after 5 overs

  • 9:12 AM IST

Alyssa Healy joins the party now. Gets a couple of runs and also a boundary. Pooja Vastrakar bowling loose deliveries again. Team India need to step up if they wish to level the series against Australia. 10 runs from that over with a wide as well. Australia Women 14/0 after 2 overs

  • 9:06 AM IST

Good Morning! Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the Australia Women’s  tour of India. Australia are set to make it 2 out of 2 at the Reliance Stadium in Vadodara after thumping win over India Women by 8 wickets in the first game. Australia carried their warm-up matches form in the first ODI as well and crushed India with their clinical performance. Nicole Bolton’s century set the tone as Australia chased a target of 201.

Mithali’s Raj absence hurt the Indian Women. The skipper missed the first game for being unwell. However, the regular skipper was seen practicing in the nets on Wednesday morning and is likely to be available for the crunch tie. The Indian batters would need to step up unlike the previous game where they succumbed to the Australian bowlers, Amanda-Jade Wellington and Jess Jonassen.

The Indian bowlers, too, have a task on hand, especially in absence of their spearhead Jhulan Goswami. India could, however, take some cues from Pooja Vastrakar and Sushma Verma’s fine knocks under pressure.
