So the match has been drawn. Indians have made use the this practice match. Most of batsmen got runs and when it comes to bowling, the bowlers like Varun Aaron, Ishant Sharma had a good day out. The team management will be happy with this preparation.

So Indians are all out for 375 in 90 overs. They have maintained a good run rate. Saha was the last man to get out. For CA XI Lalor was the most successful bowler, as he got four important wickets.

Indians are getting good batting practice ahead of the first Test. Saha is looking good once again. He needs a good outing with bat. Meanwhile Raina missed out. After the fall of his wicket, Jadeja came out and and now he is batting aggressively.

Rahane retired after scoring a quick fire 64 ball 5. Rohit though missed his half century by just two runs as he was unfortunately run out. Suresh Raina and Wriddhiman Saha are at the crease now.

That’s Lunch! India have done extremely well in this session and totally dominated the proceedings. Both Rahane and Sharma enjoying their stay at the crease.

 

Both batsman haven’t taken much time to settle and are off and running at a brisk rate. It remains to be seen whether Indians will bat through the day, or give their bowlers some workout too.

 

Both Kohli and Vijay have retired themselves to give the other batsman a chance. Not many overs left for Lunch, and until now Indians haven’t lost a wicket. Impressive performance from them.

Virat Kohli seems to have hit great form here! He is hitting boundaries at will, and has helped Indians race past 150. If he can continue this form against Australia, then the hosts will have a lot to worry.

 

Vijay gets to his half-century with a boundary! Great knock from him, and he will have to come good against Australia too. Captain Kohli is giving him good company on the other end.

Murali Vijay and Virat Kohli saw the Indians through till Stumps on Day One of the second Tour match at Adelaide against Cricket Australia XI. Varun Aaron and Karn Sharma were the main wicket-takers for India, as they bowled out their Australian opponents for 243. Shikhar Dhawan was out first ball, as India slumped to one for one, and later 36 for two after Cheteshwar Pujara was dismissed for a good 41-ball 22. That brought out Kohli to join Vijay, and the pair batted well to end the day unbeaten. Josh Lalor was the pick of the bowlers with two wickets. Earlier, Cricket Australia XI were bowled out for 243. Jordan Silk scored 58, while Sebastian Gotch made 58 not out, but none of the other batsmen could contribute substantially to the final total.
