Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s third day live cricket blog and updates of the Ranji Trophy 2015-16 Group C match, between Jammu and Kashmir against Goa. The match is being played at the Gandhi Memorial Science College Ground in Jammu. The hosts have had a torrid time in this game so far, as Goa had amassed 552 for 5 declared in their first innings. When Jammu and Kashmir came out to bat, they lost two wickets and reached 43 for 2 at stumps on the second day of the ongoing Group C match in India’s premier domestic competition. Jammu and Kashmir trail by a further 509 runs in the first innings.

It was a tremendous performance by the Goa batsmen as their top three men notched up big scores. Swapnil Asnodkar was the star of the innings as he slammed a brilliant double century, scoring 232 off 360 balls with the help of 28 boundaries and three sixes. Amogh Desai faced 228 balls and struck 13 boundaries to score 106 runs, and Sagun Kamat scored 105 off 292 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and a six. Darshan Misal was unfortunate to have missed out on a half-century, as he fell for 41. Jammu and Kashmir’s star all-rounder Parvez Rasool was the pick among the bowlers as he returned with the figures of 52-8-169-4. Umar Nazir was the only other bowler to take a solitary wicket in the innings. Ian Dev Singh and Pranav Gupta were at the crease for Jammu and Kashmir, batting on 25 and 13 respectively. Jammu and Kashmir trail by a further 509 runs.

However, it has been a splendid show by their batsmen who have kept their side in contention in this match. Mithun is only five runs away from a deserving century. Ian Chauhan struck a fine century and fell after scoring 115, wheras Mithun Manhas is eyeing a ton in their first innings. LIVE CRICKET SCORE Jammu and Kashmir 203 for 3 in Overs 52: Manhas and Chauhan have added runs so far for the fourth wicket and this is the kind of reply Jammu and Kashmir needed from their players.
