The key factor for Madhya Pradesh on Day 2 has been their number three batsman Rajat Patidar. Coming in at a situation when his team has lost two early wickets, Patidar kept his cool and continued batting to give his team the necessary support. Patidar scored a brilliant 113 off 131 balls as he went on making short partnerships on his way with Naman Ojha, Devendra Bundela and Rameez Khan. Ojha scored 31 while the other two scored 47 and 53 respectively. None of the other batsmen except from these three reached the double digit with their scores. The one bowler who left everyone stunned with his spell was Karn Sharma from Railways as he took 5 wickets and 10 maiden overs. Anureet Singh also shone with his 3 wickets.

Railways in their second innings lost an early wicket as Jalaj Saxena againt struck. Saurabh Wakaskar and V Cheluvaraj will bat on Day 3.
