Toss: Capricorn Commanders win the toss and elect to bat first
Teams:
Sagittarius Strikers: Adam Gilchrist (c) (wk), Mahela Jayawardene, Jonathan Trott, Michael Carberry, Phil Mustard, Yasir Hameed, Daniel Vettori, Gavin Hamilton, Nathan Hauritz, Tino Best, Krishmar Santokie
Capricorn Commanders: Paul Collingwood (c), Rikki Clarke, Ashwell Prince, Andrew Symonds, Saleem Elahi, Geraint Jones (wk), Rory Kleinveldt, Abdul Razzaq, Upul Chandana, Ben Laughlin, Jeetan Patel
Talking of Capricorn Commanders, only Ashwell Prince showed some promise yesterday with his 34-run knock. Rory Kleinveldt and Jeetan Patel took two wickets each. But barring these three, there was hardly any contribution from the rest of the team which finally resulted in the loss. Capricorn Commanders would want that their other batters like Andrew Symonds, Collingwood and Abdul Razzaq also score runs today. Better bowling from Upul Chandana and Razzaq is also required. Both of them got just one wicket yesterday.
Sagittarius have two points from their victory yesterday while Commanders are yet to open their account. Friday’s match was the first match of this tournament for both the teams. Mahela Jayawardene smashed a quickfire 69 off 47 balls in it and will be one of Strikers’ key players going into today’s game. They will also be counting on Adam Gilchrist, Vettori and off course Bond, if he plays to help them win their second consecutive match of the tournament.
