Good Morning! Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day 4 of semi-final of the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy between Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh at the DRIEMS Ground, Tangi in Cuttack on Tuesday. We will be bringing to you the live updates from this game. Mumbai presently seem to be in the friver’s seat with a massive 429-run lead in the second innings as the batsmen continue to bat brilliantly, piling more pressure on the MP bowlers. However, with a couple more days to go, it could still be anybody’s game as MP have the ammunition with both bat and the ball to snatch the game away from the former champions.
Live Cricket Score, Mumbai 371 & 327/5 | 90 overs | Madhya Pradesh 227 | BATTING: Aditya Tare 109(187), Abhishek Nayar 4(15): Mumbai have two more wickets. However, skipper Tare has ensured Mumbai keep increasing their lead, he brings up a superb century and is still on crease. He shared a stand of worth of 217 runs with Surya Kumar Yadav for the 4th wickets before the latter was dismissed in the 82nd over. His wicket was followed by dismissal of new batsman Siddesh Lad, who got out for a golden duck. Madhya Pradesh managed to make two brekathroughs in 2 consecutive overs. Surya Kumar Yadav has went past his hundred whereas Aditya Tare is just two runs short off his century. Mumbai now leads by 453 runs. Maybe we will witness the declaration when Tare gets to his century as well or when Mumbai stretch their lead to a mammoth 500 runs.
Suryakumar Yadav and Aditya Tare helped Mumbai amass a 429-run lead against Madhya Pradesh on Day three of the Ranji Trophy semifinal on Monday. Yadav (97*) and Tare (90*) had taken Mumbai to 285 for three in their second innings after the bowlers, led by Balwinder Sandhu, did well to dismiss Madhya Pradesh for 227 in their first essay. Forty-time champions Mumbai, who had made 371 in their first innings, are well on their way to add to their record tally in the five-day semifinal, reported PTI.
Madhya Pradesh, beginning the day at 197 for five, lost Naman Ojha, who was out for for an overnight 79 . Ankit Dane (44) too could not add much to his overnight score as the last five wickets fell for 30 runs. Medium pacer Sandhu starred with five wickets and was well supported by Abhishek Nayar (3 for 56). Mumbai then made Madhya Pradesh pay with the bat. Shreyas Iyer made an entertaining 58 off 46 balls before Yadav and Tare forged an unbeaten 190-run stand for the fourth wicket.
