Siddesh Lad needs just three runs to get to his half century. It has not been a good day for Mumbai today. They added 151 runs to their first day’s score but lost four wickets. However, owing to some brilliant batting performance yesterday, Mumbai succeed in going past 500. Can they reach 600? We will soon find out.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE & UPDATES, Mumbai 526/7 in 139 overs| BATSMEN: Siddhesh Lad 43(96), Iqbal Abdulla 0(5): Mumbai lose two quick wickets; both were scalped by Jayant Yadav. First to go was Abhishek Nayar, who advanced a little but ended up edging the ball at the slips. Dhawal Kulkarni was even more kind to the scorers and was dismissed for a duck. The ball turned sharply and the bounce it received from the surface was a sudden, brilliant surprise for the batsman. The ball took the outside edge off his bat and Faiz Fazal stationed at first slip took a good low catch. OUT! Rest of India needs wickets, the fifth-wicket stand is now worth 59 runs. Stuart Binny has been brought back into the attack.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE & UPDATES, Mumbai 473/4 in 115 overs| BATSMEN: Suryakumar Yadav 127(221), Siddesh Lad 21(31): Suryakumar Yadav is batting sensibly and with a lot of discipline, concentration and patience. Krishna Das and Jayant Yadav are bowling currently.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE & UPDATES, Mumbai 434/4 in 104 overs| BATSMEN: Suryakumar Yadav 109(185), Siddesh Lad 0(1): A good length ball by Krishna Das. It was moving away from Tare. He edges it and Naman Ojha takes a nice diving catch. Tare and Yadav’s partnership fetched Mumbai 162 runs. Mumbai are still in a strong position but if Rest of India pick up another wicket at this moment, they will build some added pressure on them. Rest of India cannot afford Mumbai tailenders to score big runs as their major batters have already piled up a score in excess of 400. OUT! Aditya Tare c Naman Ojha b Krishna Das 65(151)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE & UPDATES, Mumbai 404/3 in 94 overs| BATSMEN: Suryakumar Yadav 100(154), Aditya Tare 44(123): Suryakumar finally reaches his century, though it got delayed a bit. His hundred included 16 shots to the fence and one which dispatches the ball over the ropes. Tare is batting patiently and is now just six runs short off his fifty. Mumbai are cruising ahead in great fashion and if they fall anything short of 600, it will not be a happy sight for them. They started exceedingly well but lost a couple of wickets midway but Suryakumar and Tare’s 132-run fourth wicket partnership is again giving jitters to rest of India. They need to break the partnership or things might get worse soon.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE & UPDATES, Mumbai 397/3 in 90 overs| BATSMEN: Suryakumar Yadav 95(145), Aditya Tare 42(108): Mumbai have started well today morning. They have added 11 runs from their overnight score of 386 on the first day. Just two boundaries have been hit in the first seven overs that have been bowled today. Suryakumar Yadav hit the first off Stuart Binny. He did not intend to hit but was fortunate that the ball went in the gap at the third man region for a four. Aditya Tare then pulled Jaydev Unadkat for four runs. Tare pulled hard on the bouncer but was only able to get the ball in the middle, instead it took the upper edge of his bat and went over the wicketkeeper towards the ropes.

Suryakumar and Aditya were unbeaten on 88 (off 125 balls) and 38 at stumps on the first day. Suryakumar had started slowly but soon gained pace and is currently batting with a strike rate of 70.40.  He has hit 15 boundaries and a six in his innings which are the same number of high scoring shots that Bista had hit in his innings. Aditya Tare is batting on 38 (86 balls) with the help of four shots to the fence. Rest of India bowlers looked down and out yesterday. They will be hoping that they come out better on the second day.
