This is the second knock-out game of the tournament as the winner of this game will advance to the third qualifying final of the tournament. This is a crucial game for both the teams as they have toiled really hard in the league stages to sculpt a spot in qualifying finals coming in at No.3 and No.4. Both Islamabad United and Karachi Kings go into this match having mixed emotion on confidence, United won their last match whereas Kings lost their match by similar margin of 5 wickets. Islamabad defeated Lahore Qalandars chasing down 150 in 19 overs, after a 19 ball 38 from skipper Misbah-ul_haq. Karachi on the other hand failed to defend 152 runs against Peshawar Zalmi, where Brad Hodge scored a remarkable 45 ball 85. Karachi Kings will see Ravi Bopara take over as skipper as Shoaib Malik having had resigned from his position. Islamabad United on the hand will the services of Shane Watson who is ruled out due to an injury.  The winner of this match will take on the losing team from the Qualifier No.1 in an final attempt to book a place in the finals. Seeing how qualifier 1 panned out it will be another cracking of a qualifier indeed.
