Lahore Qalandars got off to a shaky start in their first match as they lost to Karachi Kings comprehensively. It was a low scoring encounter, where Qalandars lost the battle by seven wickets and 25 balls to spare. Qalandars skipper Azhar Ali is leading side which hails of players like Chris Gayle, Cameron Delport and Dwayne Bravo. Hafeez after playing a tenacious knock of 43 was dismissed by Ajantha Mendis. Iqbal remained unbeaten on 55 off 47 deliveries. They need 44 runs more from 60 deliveries with all wickets intact. Hafeez and Iqbal looking to carry their team over the line and have now started to shift their gears.

Iqbal and Hafeez look good out in the middle and will hold the key for their team’s success. It’s a low scoring game and can turn out to be tricky. Qalandars need a wicket as the required run rate is hardly challenging.

Afridi is also the skipper of Pakistan T20 International (T20I) side and possesses immense talent and experience in this format. They have enough gun powder in their cannon to take down any team in the tournament. They won their first encounter of the tournament against Islamabad United by 24 runs and had a solid start to their campaign.

This will be the fifth match of the tournament and therefore dew will once again be a major factor and hence the toss becomes all the more crucial.
