After a dull draw in the first Test at Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka and Pakistan have locked horns again in the second Test of the three-match series, starting from Wednesday at Dubai.
Both teams are looking to get a victory in this encounter, so as to gain the upper hand in the series going into the third Test. The first Test swung from Pakistan’s favour to Sri Lanka’s end as the match progressed. Good batting displays from both the teams ensured neither lost, but also ruled out chances of a victory for either team.
Sri Lanka captain, Angelo Mathews looked in great from during the first Test as he registered scores of 91 and 157 in the two innings; both match-saving innings. Pakistan’s Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq also scored sublime tons in the first innings, and the performance of speedstar Junaid Khan will also give the Pakistani fans a lot of hope.
Coming into the second match, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have made one change each in their palying XIs. Pakistan have included Sarfraz Ahmed in place of the injured Adnan Akmal. And for Sri Lanka, seamer Nuwan Pradeep is making a comeback after a year-long hiatus.
