After losing the second Test of the three-match series in Dubai against Sri Lanka, Pakistan will aim to bounce back and win the final Test, starting from Thursday, to level the series.
Sri Lanka won the second Test handsomely, as they outclassed the Pakistanis in all departments. Moreover, with veteran Mahela Jayawardene striking a classy century and finding form, and the bowlers also coming to the party, Sri Lanka will go into the third Test as the more confident unit of the two. With their pace trio of Suranga Lakmal, Shaminda Eranga and Nuwan Pradeep causing worry for the batsmen with the new ball, Rangana Herath has found able support and looked a much better bowler in the second Test.
Pakistan, on the other hand, will look for a friendlier pitch at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, after they complained about the track used for the second Test as not suited their bowling attack. Saeed Ajmal, who will be the key bowler for Pakistan, will look to put out the demons of the past two Tests behind him, and produce a much-improved performance in the third Test.
