Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the third and final One-Day International (ODI) between Zimbabwe and Pakistan, at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Monday. I am Nikhil Popat and I will be bringing you the updates from the series decider. This is the final match of the tour as Pakistan will be looking to end it on a happy note, after the pain they suffered in the second ODI of the series, losing the game in unbelievable circumstances. Pakistan had already won the two-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series 2-0 comfortably, but going past the hosts in the final ODI will be a slightly tougher challenge now, with Zimbabwe finally earning a win. Richmond Mutumbami promoted to open the batting has just brought up his second ODI fifty. This has been a good knock but he will know the work is just half done and will want to convert this into a big score. Zimbabwe are playing positive and calculated cricket so far. Picking the right balls to go after. Pakistan are starting to feel desperate and will be itching to get the first breakthrough. Ouch! Wahab Riaz has been brought into the attack. He gets a ball to rise and that hits the wrists of Mutumbami. But the magic spray does the trick. He then gets under one from Wasim and hits it over the long on region for a maximum. He then is dropped by Wahab Riaz. An eventful over that.

Live cricket score Zimbabwe 17/0 | Overs 5 | Batting: Chamu Chibhabha 16(28), Richmond Mutumbami 1(2) | Aamer Yamin bowls from the other end for Pakistan. Mutumbami got off the mark with a dab to point for a quick single. There is some swing on offer but the Pakistan bowlers have been unlucky to not get the wicket they are so looking for. Chibhabha has been the aggressor for Zimbabwe.

Live cricket score Zimbabwe 4/0 | Overs 1 | Batting: Chamu Chibhabha 4(6), Richmond Mutumbami 0(0) | The two openers for Zimbabwe have come out to bat. Zimbabwe will look to emulate their performance with the bat in the second ODI. Will they be able to do it? Let’s see. Mohammad Irfan starts the day for Pakistan with the first new ball. Two slips in place for the tall fast bowler. Chibhabha gets off the mark with a nice punch down the ground for a boundary and ends the over with a flash to a short and wide one outside off.

Toss: Pakistan win the toss and have elected to field first!  No Azhar Ali (foot infection) for Pakistan and Sarfraz Ahmed to lead the team today for Pakistan. Pakistan for some reason have dropped Yasir Shah from their side and brought back Imad Wasim and also Ahmed Shehzad. Quite a few changes for Zimbabwe, Graeme Cremer was injured in the last game and misses out. Hamilton Masakadza has been dropped for Malcom Waller and Tino Mutombodzi.

Zimbabwe: Brian Chari, Chamu Chibhabha, Sean Williams, Elton Chigumbura(c), Sikandar Raza, Richmond Mutumbami(wk), Tinotenda Mutombodzi, Malcolm Waller, Luke Jongwe, Tinashe Panyangara, John Nyumbu.

In the controversial second ODI, Pakistan recovered well thanks to a solid 111-run partnership for the seventh wicket between senior batsman Shoaib Malik and Aamer Yamin. The two batsmen revived the Pakistani innings as they were tottering at 76 for 6 after Zimbabwe produced a spirited performance with the bat to put up 276 for 6 in the first innings. Chamu Chibhabha was the star of the Zimbabwe’s innings as he scored 90, whereas Elton Chigumbura scored 63. For Pakistan, Wahab Riaz claimed four for 63.

When Pakistan came out to bat, they were left reeling at 40 for 4 after 14 overs with Tinashe Panyangara claiming their openers, Mohammad Hafeez being run out and Luke Jongwe claiming the key wicket of Asad Shafiq.

The worry for Pakistan would be their frail top-order, as if it not had been the seventh-wicket stand between Malik and Yamin, they would have lost the second ODI by a massive margin. The top order woes would certainly give them some headaches as Pakistan would head to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) wherein they will take on England in a four-match Test series.
