Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the seventh match in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2015, between the Rangpur Riders (RR) and the Dhaka Dynamites (DD). So far the Rangpur Riders have played two games and won the first against Chittagong Vikings but lost the second game against the Barisal Bulls by 13 runs. Meanwhile the Dhaka Dynamites have only played one game so far and gained success in that match against the Comilla Victorians. Live Cricket Score Dhaka Dynamites 107 | Overs 19.4 | Batting: Yasir Shah 12(9), Mosharraf Hossain 1(2): Dynamites have not managed to play out 20 overs which would have been quite a feat in itself. Horrible show comes to an end two short 20 overs. It was a very, very comfortable win for the Riders. It’s a big 69-run defeat for them.
Live Cricket Score Dhaka Dynamites 104/8 | Overs 18 | Batting: Yasir Shah 12(9), Mosharraf Hossain 1(2): Quite a no show from Dhaka. No resilience in their chase of 177 whatsoever. They have given wickets away easily and it’s a horrible situation for the Dynamites. The most one-sided encounter in the BPL so far.
Live Cricket Score Dhaka Dynamites 81/6 | Overs 15 | Batting: Nasir Hossain 12(14), Farhad Reza 0(0): It’s almost over for Dhaka, just going through the motions now. They need more than three runs each delviery in the final five overs. It has been a fantastic bowling effort with all the main bowlers contributing. Spinners Arafat Sunny and Shakib Al Hasan have been particularly impressive.
Live Cricket Score Dhaka Dynamites 53/3 | Overs 10 | Batting: Kumar Sangakkara 29(27), Ryan ten Doeschate 5(8): Two of Dhaka’s most prolific international names at the crease currently. The onus is on them to make a match out of this though it seems highly unlikely at this point. Dhaka need to score at more than 12 runs an over and another wicket will prove troublesome. Earlier Mosaddek Hossain was dismissed cheaply for 3 off 8 balls.
Live Cricket Score Dhaka Dynamites 27/2 | Overs 5 | Batting: Mosaddek Hossain 1(3), Kumar Sangakkara 12(9): Fantastic start for the Riders in their defence of 176. Nasir Jamshed and Shamsur Rahman are the two casualities so far. Sangakkara is presently batting. He’s going to be key for Dhaka.
Live Cricket Score Rangpur Riders 176/6 | Overs 20 | Batting: Shakib Al Hasan 24(15), Jahurul Islam 7(7): That’s a decent score for the Riders at the end of 20 overs. Shakib Al Hasan played a good knock in the death overs. Besides the fifty from Lendl Simmons, there were healthy knocks by Mohammad Mithun and Thisara Perera.

They now have to finish well and definitely have the kind of batsmen who are just made for that. Simmons was looking extremely confident and his completion of the fifty gave him that extra license to up the ante but he has been dismissed by Mosharraf Hossain. Live Cricket Score Rangpur Riders 72/1 | Overs 8 | Batting: Lendl Simmons 43(31), Mohammad Mithun 9(7): It’s been a fantastic innings by Lendl Simmons so far and he deserves to get to his half century. He’s now joined by Mohammad Mithun at the crease. The batsmen are going all guns blazing. Dhaka need to bring back some control.

Live Cricket Score Rangpur Riders 18/0 | Overs 3 | Batting: Lendl Simmons 17(15), Soumya Sarkar 1(3): It’s been a fairly positive start for Riders after a tight first over by Nasir Hossain. Simmons has been in good touch, but Sarkar needs to get his act together in this match.
The Dhaka team boasts names of the calibre of Kumar Sangakkara and Ryan ten Doeschate. In the bowling department, they possess the skillfull and guileful Mustafizur Rahman. In their match against Comilla Victorians, Abul Hasan starred with the ball taking three wickets for 29 runs in four overs. Mosharraf Hossain bowled four overs to concede a mere 15 runs and even picked two wickets.
For the Riders it is important to consolidate their position in the batting department as that proved to be their shortcoming in the game against Barisal Bulls which they lost. Soumya Sarkar has displayed tremendous skill in the international games but is yet to come good on his promise in the BPL. Shakib has been a failure with the bat in the two games so far, he needs to set a better example as captain.
