Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of the warm-up matches of the ICC World T20 2016. We will bring to you the live updates of all the actions from the match between Oman and Scotland at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh. Both teams will play one more warm-up match each ahead of the mega event. Oman will play Afghanistan while Scotland will play Netherlands at the same venue on March 6 in afternoon and morning session respectively. Both the teams will first play in the First Round in order to qualify for the Super 10 stage and join the top 8 teams.

Oman, who have been put in Group A along with Bangladesh, Ireland and Netherlands, have last played in the Asia Cup 2016 qualifiers. Though they started the campaign with a win against Hong Kong, they went on to lose their next two fixtures against Afghanistan and United Arab Emirates (UAE) and were out of the tournament. The team plays on a cumulative strength but one performer who performed consistently in the past few occasions is Zeeshan Maqsood. The player opens the batting for his side while is effective with the ball as well.

Scotland are in Group B with Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Zimbabwe and last played in the Tri-nation tournament in UAE. The tour has been a mixed one for Scotland as they won their match against Netherlands but lost the one against the hosts. The matches saw some good bowling performances by Mark Watt and Safyaan Sharif while Kyle Coetzar and skipper Preston Mommsen have been good with the bat.
