After winning the first Test in their tour of South Africa, Australia will be looking to keep up the momentum and intensity as the two giants of Test cricket take on each other for the second time in the series starting from Thursday, at Port Elizabeth.
The world’s No 1 team will be looking to come back hard at the visitors, after biting the dust last time round. South Africa will be desperate to find an antidote to Mitchell Johnson who took 12 wickets in the last Test, and was the wrecker-in-chief.
South Africa are poised to ring in a couple of changes to negate the Aussie attack and strengthen theirs. All-rounder Ryan Mclaren and Alviro Petersen could lose their places for the second Test, whereas the Aussies will look to play the same XI.
Teams:
South Africa: Graeme Smith(c), Quinton de Kock, Hashim Amla, Faf du Plessis, AB de Villiers (wk), Dean Elgar, Vernon Philander, Wayne Parnell, Robin Peterson, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel.
Australia: David Warner, Chris Rogers, Alex Doolan, Shaun Marsh, Michael Clarke (c), Steven Smith, Brad Haddin (wk), Mitchell Johnson, Peter Siddle, Ryan Harris, Nathan Lyon.
