Hello and welcome to CricketCountry's coverage of South Africa vs New Zealand, third and final One-Day International (ODI) at Durban. This is  the series decider after New Zealand's convincing eight-wicket win in the second ODI at Potchefstroom. South Africa on the other hand will be disappointed with the loss after a convincing 20-run win in the first ODI. South Africa’s top-order let them down in the second game with openers Hashim Amla and Morne Van Wyk dismissed cheaply. Despite a recovery effort from Rilee Rossouw and skipper AB de Villiers, South Africa managed to get just over 200, courtesy of a 70 from Farhaan behardien. I am Amit Banerjee and I will be bringing all the updates of this series decider here. Catch live scorecard and ball by ball updates of the South Africa vs New Zealand 3rd ODI here Man of the Match: AB de Villiers. Man of the Series: Hashim Amla. Read the match report by Sandipan Banerjee here. Live Cricket Score New Zealand 221 | Overs 49.2 | BATTING: Ben Wheeler 13(11): Sodhi attempts to go for a big hit in the second ball of the final over, but ends up serving a simple catch to Rilee Rossouw at the cow corner off the bowling of Kyle Abbott for South Africa to complete a dominant 62-run win and win the series 2-1! All-round display by the Proteas today, as they seemed to get everything right about them except maybe the dropped chances. New Zealand meanwhile, lose yet another series to a top side following their finish as the runners-up in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.  OUT! Ish Sodhi c Rilee Rossouw b Kyle Abbott 5(15) Live Cricket Score New Zealand 208/9 | Overs 46 | BATTING: Ben Wheeler 5(3), Ish Sodhi 1(3): Sure enough, the Proteas are closing in on an easy victory at the moment as the Black Caps lose two wickets in the last five overs. Tahir is back to his usual celebrations after bringing an end to the 31-run partnership between Munro and Bracewell. Adam Milne then, offers David Miller a simple catch at midwicket for Rabada to take his second wicket of the match. Munro, New Zealand's last hope, drags the ball onto his stumps for David Miller to take his thrid wicket! OUT! Doug Bracewell c Hashim Amla b Imran Tahir, Adam Milne c David Miller b Kagiso Rabada, Colin Munro b David Wiese 35(44) Live Cricket Score New Zealand 184/6 | Overs 40 | BATTING: Colin Munro 24(27), Doug Bracewell 11(15): Munro and Bracewell have managed to fend the rampaging South Africans off so far, although the chances of chasing the target down look very bleak at this stage. Good partnership between the two at this stage though. The Proteas though, sniff victory from here and the likes of Steyn, Wiese and Rabada will be looking to wipe the tail out. New Zealand need 100 runs to win from 60 balls. Live Cricket Score New Zealand 156/6 | Overs 35 | BATTING: Colin Munro 7(12): South Africa are clearly on top at the moment, having got the key wickets of Tom Latham, George Worker and Grant Elliott for the Black Caps to sink to 154 for five in the 35th over. Latham's flamboyant innings came to a swift end courtesy a well-aimed direct hit at the striker's end, with the southpaw departing after a 74-ball 54. Worker was bowled through the gate by a beautiful delivery by David Wiese. Rabada made no mistake in completing the catch at deep square-leg off a mishit by Elliott after having dropped one earlier. Finally Ronchi edged a Rabada delivery to Amla in the slips for the Black Caps to face a daunting task ahead of them. OUT! Tom Latham run out (David Miller) 54(74), George Worker b David Wiese 21(24), Grant Elliott c Kagiso Rabada  David Wiese 20(20), Luke Ronchi c Hashim Amla b Kagiso Rabada 1(3) Live Cricket Score New Zealand 106/2 | Overs 25 | BATTING: Tom Latham 50(69), George Worker 3(4): Latham and Williamson threaten to finish the game by themselves when Imran Tahir gets the much needed breakthrough for his side! Williamson  comes down the track in order to smash the googly, which deceives him completely and knocks his off-stump. Tahir goes about his wild celebrations as usual after that! Meanwhile, Latham brings up his 4th ODI fifty, as New Zealand breach the 100-run mark. OUT! Kane Williamson b Imran Tahir 39(59) Live Cricket Score New Zealand 86/1 | Overs 20 | BATTING: Tom Latham 45(58), Kane Williamson 28(44): Latham and Williamson are batting fantastically at the centre at the moment, having added 50 runs already. Skipper AB de Villiers has introduced Imran Tahir into the attack, with the occasional use of Kagiso Rabada, all to no avail. Latham is batting in the 40s at the moment, having hit the ball four times to the fence, and once over it. Things look tough for the hosts if they do not get a couple of quick wickets at this stage. Live Cricket Score New Zealand 40/1 | Overs 10 | BATTING: Tom Latham 19(26), Kane Williamson 9(16): The Black Caps are scoring at a pace of four runs per over as of now, with Williamson and Latham having slowly settled at the crease by now. Kyle Abbott and David Wiese bowl their first overs of the match in the eighth and ninth overs respectively. The Black Caps manage to get the occasional boundary that prevents the run-rate from slumping too much. Meanwhile, the South African have managed to match up to the high fielding standards that was set by New Zealand in the previous innings. Live Cricket Score New Zealand 18/1 | Overs 5 | BATTING: Tom Latham 7(10), Kane Williamson 0(2): The visitors are off to a bad start, losing the important wicket of Martin Guptill, who scored a century only in the previous game, for the Black Caps to lose their first wicket in the fifth over with just 18 runs on board. Dale Styen, who has been in forgettable form in the recent past, does the damage! OUT! Martin Guptill c Morne van Wyk b Dale Steyn Read the South Africa innings report by Sandipan Banerjee here. Live Cricket Score South Africa 283/7 | Overs 50 | BATTING: Kyle Abbott 3(8): AB's dismissal did put the brakes on the South African progress, while Miller's dismissal sees the two new batsmen at the crease with Milne and Bracewell bowling with full venom. Miller was dismissed after edging a Milne delivery to the wicketkeeper to depart for 36. David Wiese attempts to hit around the park for a bit, but falls to a mishit for the Proteas to lose their sixth wicket. Behardien ends the 48th over with a six and a four, and will look to get some big runs in the last couple of overs. Behardien hits around for a bit, helping South Africa reach a par score of 283 before getting dismissed off the last ball to end his fine cameo. New Zealand need 284 runs from 50 overs to win the series 2-1OUT! David Miller c Luke Ronchi b Adam Milne 36(37), David Wiese 12(15), Farhaan Behardien 40(28) Live Cricket Score South Africa 221/4 | Overs 41 | BATTING: David Miller 34(32), Farhaan Behardien 1(2): AB goes on to bring up his 47th ODI fifty in just 38 deliveries. The dashing batsman is beginning to hit boundaries freely now, as the situation is increasingly looking better for the hosts. The best shot of the match so far has been the one in the fourth ball of the 37th over, in which de Villiers arches back to a rising Milne delivery, and flicks it towards third man off the last minute for a boundary! Typical AB! Miller is providing fine support from the other end too. Can AB get to his hundred today? BOWLED! There, ladies and gentlemen is our answer. AB is bowled as Bracewell gets the big wicket for his side. The batsman misses the line of the delivery completely as the ball angles into the off-stump. Farhaan Behardien is the new batsman to walk to the crease now. OUT! AB de Villiers b Doug Bracewell 64(48) Live Cricket Score South Africa 161/3 | Overs 35 | BATTING: AB de Villiers 28(29), David Miller 16(17): The pair of skipper AB de Villiers and David Miller have to make the most of these overs if they are to establish the foundation for a massive finish for the Proteas in the end. With the 8,000-run milestone having been completed, de Villiers will now have his sight on a big score today. Live Cricket Score South Africa 135/3 | Overs 31 | BATTING: AB de Villiers 19(19), David Miller 1(3): And AB de Villiers becomes the fastest batsman to complete 8,000 ODI runs. What a magnificent career so far! Only 190 innings taken to complete the milestone, beating Sourav Ganguly for the same by 10 innings. The explosive batsman and South African skipper has many more records to conquer in the coming years, and we wish him all the best for the same. Meanwhile bad news follows the excellent one, as Morne van Wyk edges an Elliott delivery to the slips where Latham takes his second catch of the innings. A lot depends on AB's presence right now. OUT! Morne van Wyk c Tom Latham b Grant Elliott 58(100) Live Cricket Score South Africa 102/2 | Overs 24 | BATTING: Morne van Wyk 46(77), AB de Villiers 1(3): The visitors have managed to peg South Africa back with a couple of quick dismissals. While Hashim Amla gets himself dismissed for 44 returning a simple catch to Grant Elliott, Rilee Rossouw fails to prolong his stay at the crease by edging a simple chance to Tom Latham at the slips off the bowling of Ben Wheeler, drastically bringing the South African run-rate down. Van Wyk meanwhile, brings up his fourth ODI fifty with a single, having hit four boundaries and two sixes during his stay at the crease. OUT! Hashim Amla c & b Grant Elliott 44(55), Rilee Rossouw c Tom Latham b Ben Wheeler 6(9) Live Cricket Score South Africa 89/0 | Overs 20 | BATTING: Morne van Wyk 42(66), Hashim Amla 44(56): The opening pair of Amla and van Wyk have guided their side off to a great start, with just 11 runs left for the hosts to touch the three figures without losing a wicket as yet. Both batsmen are in their 40s now, and Amla sure enough has caught up with van Wyk, who was doing all the hitting initially. Grant Elliott to bowl the next over. Live Cricket Score South Africa 49/0 | Overs 10 | BATTING: Morne van Wyk 28(36), Hashim Amla 18(26): Dropped! Could Bracewell have dropped the series trophy? Van Wyk botches up an attempted hook, getting a leading edge off it that carries the ball over to fine-leg. Bracewell gets himself perfectly into position, but ultimately makes a mess of it. Van Wyk gets 10 runs off the 10th overs with a six and a boundary. Live Cricket Score South Africa 25/0 | Overs 5 | BATTING: Morne van Wyk 17(19), Hashim Amla 6(12): The Proteas are off to a decent start, the fans at the Kingsmead today will hope for the opening pair to add a 50-run opening stand. Van Wyk is scoring most of the runs right now, having hit two fours and a six. Amla, as usual, is off to a slow start but will waste no time in catching up in the scoring rate in a short while. Teams: South Africa: AB de Villiers(c), Hashim Amla, Morne van Wyk(w), Rilee Rossouw, David Miller, Farhaan Behardien, David Wiese, Dale Steyn, Kagiso Rabada, Imran Tahir, Kyle Abbott New Zealand: Kane Williamson(c), Martin Guptill, Tom Latham, George Worker, Grant Elliott, Colin Munro, Luke Ronchi(w), Adam Milne, Doug Bracewell, Ish Sodhi, Ben Wheeler South Africa have won the toss and have decided to bat first New Zealand will be proud of the way they bounced back in the second game, especially after conceding over 300 in the first match. The inclusion of Ben Wheeler in place of Mitchell McClenaghan was an excellent one as the former did  not leak as many runs. Martin Guptill’s form is encouraging for New Zealand and he will be key once again in the third match. The team that has eventually won the match on both occasions has been the team, which has been totally in command throughout the match. It was South Africa in the first ODI and New Zealand in the second one. South Africa will hope that the top order fires. De Villiers has been short of runs in this series so far and he is due a big score. This game might be just the one where he decided to return to form. Opener Van Wyk too is short of runs and will look to make his opportunity count in this match. With Faf du Plessis not playing this series due to injury, the pressure of scoring runs has fallen on the rest of the players. Although they have done relatively well covering for his absence, they will have to do more to ensure that they have a match-winning score. Squads: South Africa: AB de Villiers (c), Hashim Amla, Morne van Wyk (wk), Rilee Rossouw, David Miller, Farhaan Behardien, David Wiese, Vernon Philander, Dale Steyn, Imran Tahir, Kagiso Rabada, Aaron Phangiso, Kyle Abbott. New Zealand: Kane Williamson(c), Martin Guptill, Tom Latham, Colin Munro, Grant Elliott, James Neesham, Luke Ronchi(wk), Nathan McCullum, Adam Milne, Ish Sodhi, Mitchell McClenaghan, Matt Henry, Ben Wheeler, Doug Bracewell, George Worker Catch live scorecard and ball by ball updates of the South Africa vs New Zealand 3rd ODI here
