Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s coverage of the Super Six matches between Ireland Women and Pakistan Women, also Sri Lanka Women vs South Africa Women in the ICC Women’s World Cup qualifiers 2017 at Colombo. Ireland have had a mixed run in this tournament so far. They have won two and lost as many in the group stages. However, they lost their first game of the Super Six to Bangladesh Women. Ireland started the tournament off well with a 119-run win over Zimbabwe. They followed that up with losses to hosts Sri Lanka and then India, but bounced back with a 46-run win over Thailand after that. After losing their first match of the tournament against South Africa, Pakistan managed to win their remaining matches in the Group stage, but lost to hosts Sri Lanka in the Super Six stage. After this match, Pakistan will face off against India at the P Sara Oval on February 19, which will be an exciting game to watch. Besides their loss in the first match, they have registered comprehensive victories against Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Scotland in the group stages. They continued their dominance in the Super Six stage, slamming Sri Lanka by 5 wickets.

Sri Lanka have been on a roll since their defeat at the hands of India in the very first match of the tournament. They have eased past Ireland, Zimbabwe, Thailand and most recently Pakistan. Their opponents South Africa on the other hand, have lost just one match, which has been at the hands of India in the first match of the Super Six stage. They were dominant in the group stages, beating Pakistan, Scotland, Bangladesh and also PNG on their way to the next round. All-in-all, this will be a much-anticipated clash.
