Good Morning/Evening! Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Match 26 of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2016 between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders, at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill in Florida, USA on Thursday/Friday. I am Ayush Gupta, and I will be bringing to you the live updates from this tie. The Patriots are currently placed at the bottom of the table, and a win here would still make them stay at the same spot, vitually ruling them out of a semi-final spot, while the Knight Riders are at number three, and a win would make them stay at the same spot, keeping their semi-final hopes alive.
Earlier, Barbados Tridents were handed a defeat by 6 wickets at the hands of Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 25th match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2016. A fine bowling performance followed by an important opening stand between Dwayne Smith and Nic Maddinson steered the Warriors to victory. A couple of run-out opportunities did emerge for Barbados early on in the chase but they failed to grab them and the game was over with 10 balls to spare. The win takes the Guyana Amazon Warriors to the play-offs of this CPL edition but for Barbados, they will have to count on other results to go their way, if they wish to stay alive in this competition. Earlier Barbados Tridents were asked to bat first and were off to a decent start. Ahmed Shehzad was the first wicket to fall for them.
