Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the Ranji Trophy 2015-16 Group B match between Tamil Nadu and Gujarat at Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. The first three days of the match have unfortunately been washed out due to rain. However, we may witness some action today. It is expected that around 70 overs will be bowled today. The match will most probably end in a draw but fans will get a chance to see their favourite players perform in this round eight match of the tournament. Gujarat being a better team considering their performance in the tournament so far, may like to score quickly if it bats first and then bowl out the opposition to get a few points. So far Gujarat is placed at No. 2 in the Group B table behind the dominant Mumbai, while Tamil Nadu is placed at No. 6. Gujarat has won three of their six games, lost one and drawn two. Tamil Nadu have won two, lost one and drawn three. Tamil Nadu will bank on Abhinav Mukund, Dinesh Karthik, Baba Aparajith, and Baba Indrajith. As for Gujarat, the likes of Priyank Panchal and Manpreet Juneja have been quite impressive as well. Parthiv Patel has not been at his best, but Gujarat have done reasonably well even without their skipper in full flow.
