Hello and welcome to CricketCountry s live coverage of Day 4 of the Group C game of the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy between Tripura and Jammu & Kashmir, live from Agartala. Jammu & Kashmir refused to enforce a follow-on despite a 204-run lead. As a result they are 163 for 3 at stumps, leading by 367; a declaration from Mithun Manhas may still get them full points for an outright win, though they have missed out on getting the bonus point an innings victory would have got them. However, they look keen on a declaration after Bandeep Singh s onslaught: he is unbeaten on a 16-ball 51, and will certainly go all out today. READ: Ranji Trophy 2015-16, full coverage here

Live cricket scores Tripura 224/2 | Target 368 | Overs 91.3| Batting: Arindam Das 106(275), Parvinder Singh 100(211): Match is drawn. Tripura's resilience in the last two days was praiseworthy. They had not performed well in previous matches of the tournament but they played much better cricket this time around. Although J&K always had the upper-hand in this match, still they never looked to win it downright and this is the plus that Tripura will take away from this match. They need to improve their bowling and continue batting the same way as they have done today in future matches. J&K gains three points from the match while Tripura get one.

Live cricket scores Tripura 220/2 | Target 368 | Overs 83| Batting: Arindam Das 98(248), Parvinder Singh 85(187): Tripura batters Arindam Das and Parvinder Singh are batting pretty well. Arindam needs just two runs to get to his hundred. He has struck 10 boundaries and a six in his knock so far. If Tripura do not lose any wicket from now on till the day ends, it will do their confidence a world of good.

Live cricket scores Tripura 191/2 | Target 368 | Overs 70| Batting: Arindam Das 84(210), Parvinder Singh 70(147): We'll have to say that Tripura have batted well in this match esp. in the fourth innings. They will most probably succeed in drawing this match. Arindam Das and Parminder Singh are approaching their centuries. It would be nice if both are able to get to three figures as it will give them a psychological boost for further matches.

Live cricket scores Tripura 144/2 | Target 368 | Overs 55| Batting: Arindam Das 61(170), Parvinder Singh 46(97): Tripura need 224 more runs to win, which is virtually impossible because only a maximum of 210 balls can be bowled more today. Hence, they should make sure that they play out the remaining overs today and draw the match, which is also the most sensible and practical thing to do. Arindam Das has completed his fifty and Parvinder Singh is four short of it. Arindam has hit eight shots to the fence so far.

Live cricket scores Tripura 116/2 | Target 368 | Overs 43| Batting: Arindam Das 46(142), Parvinder Singh 33(53): Opener Arindam Das and middle order batsman Parvinder Singh are doing damage repair. Their partnership is now worth 57 runs. They have struck a rapport and are going strong. Arindam is four short of his half century.

Live cricket scores Tripura 93/2 | Target 368 | Overs 33| Batting: Arindam Das 32(101), Parvinder Singh 26(32): Third wicket partnership between Arindam Das and Parvinder Singh is now worth 34 runs. They are up against a humongous target but let's see how close can they get to it. They need 275 runs to win but not many overs are left to be bowled today. J&K bowlers need to pick wickets if they wish to entertain hopes of winning the match.

Live cricket scores Tripura 64/2 | Target 368 | Overs 25| Batting: Arindam Das 25(75), Parvinder Singh 5(9): J&K declared their innings on 163/3 today which was their overnight score also. Tripura have started to bat in the final innings of the match. They lost two wickets Rajib Saha and UU Bose cheaply. They are chasing a hefty target and only one day is left, hence it is not going to be easy. It will be wise that they aim to draw this match now, since going for a win may jeopardise their chance to save this game in the first place. They could have gone for a win-lose contest had they got a good start. But now having lost two wickets it is not prudent to do so. Also their lower order is not good. Thus, there is heavy responsibility on the current batters and Rana Datta who is next to come. OUT! Rajib Saha c Asif Khan b Umar Nazir 11(36), UU Bose b Parvez Rasool 20(32)

Up against 428, Tripura resumed the day on 86 for 2. Two quick wickets brought Parvinder Singh, the only Tripura batsman to put up a fight, at the crease. Parvinder (60 in 124 balls, 8 fours) was eighth out, lifting Tripura from 108 for 4 to 208 for 8, but it was not good enough. They folded for 224 against Ram Dayal (4 for 51), who was ably supported by his teammates. Manhas did not declare, but Shubham Khajuria and Imran Haroon batted brightly, and Parvez Rasool played a cameo. The score read 105 in 26 overs when Rasool was caught off Manisankar Murasingh.

The last 4 overs of the day yielded 58, with Bandeep (51 not out in 16 balls, 6 fours, 4 sixes) scoring the chunk of it. He even overshadowed Ian Dev Singh (40 not out in 50 balls, 6 fours) who scored at a brisk pace himself. A quick declaration from Manhas may give Jammu & Kashmir the 6 points they need so badly.

Squads:

Tripura: Kaushal Acharjee (c), Nirupam Sen Chowdhary (wk), Rana Dutta, Abhijit Sarkar, Manisankar Murasingh, Rajib Saha, Parvinder Singh, Rakesh Solanki, Tushar Saha, Udiyan Bose, Arindam Das.

Jammu & Kashmir: Mithun Manhas (c), Asif Khan (wk), Shubham Khajuria, Imran Haroon, Ian Dev Singh, Parvez Rasool, Bandeep Singh, Ram Dayal, Umar Nazir, Deepak Manhas, Rohit Sharma.
