RAJ 149/5 in Overs 24, Live Cricket Score, Vijay Hazare Trophy 2015-16, Assam vs Rajasthan, Group A match at Hyderabad: Rajasthan win by 1 wicket

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2015-16 tournament, between Assam and Rajasthan at the RRC Stadium in Hyderabad. The tournament began on December 10, Thursday, with many of the top notch Indian cricketers taking part in it. India’s limited-overs’ captain MS Dhoni is playing for Jharkhand, under the captaincy of Varun Aaron. There are other Indian cricketers in the tournament as well, who are Shikhar Dhawan, Ishant Sharma, Virat Kohli and a few others. Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma are also expected to play in Mumbai’s clashes sometime in the tournament. Rajasthan is coming off a loss to Services in their match played on Thursday, whereas Assam also lost their match to Tamil Nadu.

Rajasthan dominated in the match from the very beginning and eventually won it. Rajat Bhatia remained the best performer as he picked up 5 wickets for 17 runs and scored an unbeaten 68.

Rajasthan need a partnership now that can give stability to the innings.

Rajat Bhatia took 5 wickets giving 17 runs. He also bowled two maiden overs. Now Rajasthan will have to chase the runs down to clinch victory.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Assam 64/5 in overs 21 ; BATTING: Pallav Kumar Das 28(64), Syed Mohammad 0(3): The Rajasthan bowlers have done the damage to the Tamil Nadu batting as the latter have already lost 5 crucial wickets. They will have to make a strong comeback and that too soon.

In their first match against Services, Rajasthan failed to chase a modest total of 231 runs as they were bowled out for 167. NB Singh claimed four wickets for 42 runs for Rajasthan in his 10 overs, but it was their batsmen who produced a flop show. PR Yadav was the only one who waged a lone battle, scoring 52 in Rajasthan’s chase of 231 runs to win. Services used six bowlers and all of them got wickets.

On the other hand, Assam suffered a defeat by six wickets against Tamil Nadu. The Assamese team produced a poor show with the bat as they were bowled out for a paltry 210 in the first innings, and Tamil Nadu achieved the modest target with four wickets down. Syed Mohammad’s innings of 59 was the only bright spot for Assam.
