Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2015-16 Group A match between Hyderabad and Mumbai at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday. Mumbai is currently third in the points table, despite suffering a five-wicket defeat at the hands of Rajasthan in their previous encounter at the Gymkhana Ground in Hyderabad on Thursday. Hyderabad, on the other hand, have struggled for the most part so far in the tournament, losing four out of the five games that they have played so far, including a three-wicket defeat to Tamil Nadu in their previous game. Their only win in the tournament so far has come against the lowly Assam, beating them by 72 runs.

Ajinkya Rahane remained unbeaten on 27. The youngsters of Mumbai– Akhil Herwadkar and Shreyas Iyer once again led from the front with excellent scores of 85 (8122) and 83(844) respectively. The two wickets of Mumbai were taken bty Hyderbad’s Md Siraj and Ravi Kiran.

Aditya Tare’s poor run this season continues to haunt him as he has been dismissed early in the innings once again. Ravi Kiran and Md Siraj opener bolwing for Hyderabad from both the ends. With the likes of Tare, Akhil and Shreyas Iyer, a target of 217 is no big task for Mumbai.

Vihari should try and convert this into a century to ensure Hyderabad post a huge total against the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Siddesh Lad, Aditya Tare in Mumbai. Sandeep’s slow innings lasted 25 balls where he had managed to score just 12 runs before getting his stumps rattled by Abdullah in the 25th over, leaving Hyderabad at 92 for 4. OUT! Mumbai, who have put up dominant performances in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2015-16 so far, have won three and lost two games in their run in the 50-over tournament so far. They started their campaign with a five-wicket win over Punjab, before suffering their first loss to Tamil Nadu by 26 runs. Their next couple of games, against Assam and Services respectively, were easy wins by 96 runs and six wickets respectively.
