Good Morning and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the 2015-16 Vijay Hazare Trophy, 2nd quarter-final match between Jharkhand and Delhi at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday, as we bring you the live updates from the action. Jharkhand, who finished as table toppers for Group B, had 20 points from six games, along with five wins and a loss, while Delhi, on the other hand, too had the same points from same amount of games, along with same results, only to finish second owing to run-rate. Live Cricket Score: Jharkand 126 | Overs 38 | Target 226 | BATSMEN: MS Dhoni 70(108): Subodh Bhati finishes the job for Delhi, dismisses the last batsman Vikash. The latter lasted 16 deliveries scoring one run befor getting trapped leg before wicket on the last ball of 38th over. While Dhoni remians unbeaten on 70 fails to lead his side to the semi-final, Gautam Gambhir’s superb captaincy helped Delhi defend a low total of 226 in their thriller quarter-final match. ANd after his half-century, he seems to have caught the top gear. Four sixes suddenly to his name. A victory looks unlikely but it’s cricket. Miracles do happen. They took a little more than 31 overs to reach their first 100. Meanwhile, Dhoni is a couple of runs away from a 72nd List A fifty. Long way ahead of them. With Dhoni still playing, there is still hope for Jharkand to win this contest depsite their bad start where they have lost five quick wickets. Delhi have brought in Subodh Bhati in a hope to break this partnership. Jharkand need another 172 runs to win this match.

Then again a dot from Ankit means Dhoni will again take strike in the next over. Delhi have bounced back in style, the economies of the Delhi bowlers is the proof of their disciplined bowling under immense pressure.

The duo who built a superb stand of 74 runs for the 6th wicket finally came to an end when Shukla removed Sharma on the seocnd delivery of the 46th over. Live Cricket Score: Delhi 172/5 | Overs 45 | BATSMEN: Nitish Rana 43(74), Manan Sharma 21(47): Nitin Rana whose highest List A score is 67 not out from the nine games he has played so far in his career is playing one of his best innings for Delhi. He is just 7 runs from a superb half-century which will be his career’s 7th List A fifty. He came in when Delhi was struggling at 92 for 4. He along with Sharma have made all the difference in the match.

And it is 50-run partnership up between Rana and Sharma for the 6th wicket. While Rana has four boundaries to his name so far in the innings, Sharma is yet to hit one. Until he keeps rotating the strike well and Delhi gets the runs on reguakr intervals, Delhi will not mind Sharma playing a slow innings.

Delhi need more of those boundaries from both the batmen. Sharma is yet to open is account of fours and sixes yet in the game. Will the duo help Delhi recover or will Aaron and boys continue to make breakthroughs?
