Good Evening, Hello and Welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of First Warm-up between Zimbabwe and Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association XI (HPCA XI) before the start of ICC World Twenty20 (T20) 2016 next week. Zimbabwe will play in the ICC World T20 Qualifying round. Zimbabwe are in Group B of the qualifying round for the World T20 with Afghanistan, Scotland and Hong Kong. Zimbabwe will play their first match against Hong Kong on March 8, Nagpur. Zimbabwe had announced their squad for the upcoming World T20, scheduled to be played in India from March 8. Having taken over as captain after the resignation of Elton Chigumbura, it will be Hamilton Masakadza, who will lead the Zimbabwe team into the tournament.

Chopra has continued his on-slaught on Zimbabwean bowlers as tore apart Donald Tiripano for taking 13 runs from his first over. LIVE CRICKET SCORE & UPDATES, Zimbabwe 112/7 in 20  overs: Richmond Mutumbami remained the only player to bat through-out the Zimbabwe scoring a 51 ball 50. Donald Tiripano was the last batsman to get out as Abhinay managed to get him for 12 runs.  Mutumbami scored fifty while hitting  three fours and one six. Shresth Nirmohi was the star bowler for HPCA XI picking up 2 for 11 as all other bowlers picked one apiece.

Zimbabwe have half their team down now with only 51 runs on the board. Mutumbami has so far carried his lone innings of 26* runs hitting two fours. Gurvinder Singh has completed his four overs giving away just 14 for 1 wicket. Mutumbami finally comes into his own hits Rahul Singh for a SIX and FOUR in the last two balls of the 14th over. The teams who will be playing in the first round — the qualification round of the ICC World T20 2016 — will be having their warm-up matches from March 3-6, 2016, in Dharamsala and Mohali. The eight teams who already have qualified for the tournament will be playing their warm-up matches — two each — from March 10-15. The afternoon matches in men’s tournament will begin at 15.00 local time, and will end at around 18.10. On the other hand, the matches slated for evenings will be played from 19.30 to 22.40. The two semi-finals and final will be from 19.00 to 22.10.

Zimbabwe team going into the World T20 2016 in India suffered a huge blow as leg spinner Graeme Cremer and fast bowlers Luke Jongwe and Neville Madzive were ruled out of the whole tournament citing injuries. All three players sustained injuries during their practice matches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as per Zimbabwe Cricket. The three players have been replaced by  all rounder Chamu Chibhabha, fast bowler Tawanda Mupariwa and Donald Tiripano.
