Zimbabwe take on South Africa is the third T20 match of the unofficial Triangular Series at Harare Sports Club.
Hashim Amla led South Africa to a 39-run victory over Bangladesh on Tuesday in the second match. The Proteas made 209 for three off 20 overs and restricted Bangladesh to 170 for eight in reply to suffer a second defeat in three days after failing by 11 runs against hosts Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe got off to a winning start to the tournament when they beat Bangladesh by 11 runs on Monday.
Hamilton Masakadza with 62 off just 35 balls starred in their total of 154/6 whilst Christopher Mpofu, despite starting with three wides, returned figures of two for 20 from his four overs with the ball.
Although this tournament falls outside of the ICC future tours schedule and therefore has been allocated unofficial status, Monday’s win for Zimbabwe halted a run of 12 consecutive defeats in T20′s stretching back to February 2010.
