England take on Afghanistan in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Pool A match 38 at Sydney. This is the final match of the tournament for both teams as they have already been eliminated. England lost their match to Bangladesh in the previous match that confirmed their elimination from the tournament. England, like Afghanistan have registered just one win in the tournament, which came against Scotland as well. They have lost every other game comprehensively and will hope to exit the tournament on a high, by putting up a good show against Afghanistan and beating them convincingly. Afghanistan coach Andy Moles has said that his Afghanistan team have the capability and talent to stun England. If they keep up the tempo from the earlier games, they certainly can achieve it. Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes will miss this game for England due to injuries. Gary Ballance and Steven Finn are likely to take their places. Alex Hales, who batted at No.3 against Bangladesh will probably be entrusted to open the innings along with Ian Bell and get his side to a good start. Afghanistan have no such problems and have the entire squad at their disposal. They’re key players will be Samiullah Shenwari with the bat, Dawlat Zadran and Shapoor Zadran with the ball.
