Pakistan and England face off on the fourth day of the ongoing second Test at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, with the series between the two currently level 0-0 following a drawn first Test. The fourth day will probably decide the destiny of the game and doubtfully it will end in a draw. Pakistan at stumps were well placed at 222 for 3 at stumps on Day 3 and had a healthy lead of 358 runs to their name. Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan played sensible innings and remained unconquered at stumps. English bowlers got off to a terrific start but somehow didn’t manage to breach the partnership between Misbah and Younis. The duo accounted for 139 runs between them at stumps and will look to add more. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: Pakistan vs England 2015, 2nd Test at Dubai, Day 4
Pakistan need to continue their run and should not lose wickets in the morning session as one famously saw how wickets tumbled in the morning session of Day 2 and Day 3 at Dubai. They have some aggressive batting to come and foundation is laid for them to explode. James Anderson was once again handy and England should look to attack with him in the front. Interestingly, Adil Rashid who turned the game on its head in the first Test has been ineffective in the Test so far. LIVE CRICKET UPDATES: Pakistan vs England 2015, 2nd Test at Dubai, Day 4
In the final session of the day, Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan came out fighting and ensured Pakistan didn’t throw another wicket. Younis batted with immense temperament and inscribed his name in the history of cricket as he became the first Pakistani batsman to have scored 9,000 runs in Test cricket when he successfully reached his 47. Moments later, he also brought up his much deserved half-century. Misbah after getting his eye in took on the Pakistani bowlers and scored another 50 in this Test after smashing a scintillating 100 in the first innings. At stumps, both the batsmen remained unbeaten and accounted for 139 runs together. Pakistan have gained a massive lead and will look to add more agony on England. With the likes of Asad Shafiq and Sarfraz Ahmed to come in next, the scoreboard will only get better. Wickets have tumbled like nine pins in the morning session of Day 2 and Day 3. England will be well aware of this fact and will look to replicate their performance from Day 2 and inflict damage on the hosts.
