The third and final One-Day International at Durban between South Africa and New Zealand promises to be a thriller since it will also double up as the series decider. So far both teams have looked just about as good, with New Zealand having done slightly better. New Zealand’s effort is commendable given that they are playing a new-look side without players like Brendon McCullum, Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Ross Taylor. The match will be played at Durban and one can expect the ball to move around early on. LIVE SCORECARD: South Africa vs New Zealand 3rd ODI, at Durban
South Africa won the first match at Centurion by 20 runs after setting New Zealand a challenging target of 305. New Zealand showed an amazing fightback but lost out in the end due to untimely wickets. The visitors came back hard and stron in the 2nd ODI and dished out a harsh 8-wicket defeat to the hosts after restricting them to a score of just over 200. South Africa vs New Zealand 2015, 3rd ODI at Durban: Preview
New Zealand have performed well under the leadership of Kane Williamson and have heavily benefited from the rich vein of form Martin Guptill is currently enjoying. Adam Milne, Ben Wheeler and Doug Bracewell were all impressive in the second ODI. South Africa have been quite good, but have lacked the gusto at times. Faf du Plessis and JP Duminy are being missed, but that can’t be held as an excuse as New Zealand are missing out on a lot more mainstay players relatively.
