Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day one of the Group B game of the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy between Gujarat and Baroda, live from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium, Valsad. Gujarat are currently at eighth position in Group B. They have 9 points from four matches. They have won one, lost one and drawn two matches. Baroda on the other hand are just above them at seventh position having nine points from five matches. They lost one , lost two matches and drawn two matches. Gujarat lost their last match against Uttar Pradesh by 155 runs while Baroda also lost their last match against Madhya Pradesh by 87 runs. Gujarat will want their star captain and player Pathiv Patel score big who has had a mediocre tournament so far, along with Venugopal Rao.Gujarat will get boost by the inclusion of Akshar Patel. For Baroda Deepak Hooda, Yusuf Pathan and Aditya Waghmode would like to continue their scoring form.Swapnil Singh has been in bowling good lately.

Panchal reached to his sixth First-Class hundred while Juneja is playing attacking cricket.

They’ve broken through the opening stand and succeeded in sending Smit Patel back into the hut. Star cricketer Irfan Pathan got the breakthrough for his team, as he trapped Patel in front of the stumps. Panchal 60 has been going strong on the other end. He now has Bhargav Merai for company. Baroda would look to get more wickets now.
