Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of Day one of the Group C game of the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy between Jharkhand and Jammu & Kashmir, live from Jamshedpur. Jharkhand are currently at seventh position in Group C. They have 7 points from four matches. They have won one match, lost two and drew one matches. Jammu & Kashmir on the other hand are just above them at sixth position having 7 points from five matches. They lost two matches and drawn three matches. Jharkhand drew their last match against Goa while Jammu & Kashmir drawing their last match against Hyderabad (IND). Jharkhand will go into the match with their star player Varon Aaron missing out as he is away on national duty playing against South Africa in the first Test at Mohali. Shahbaz Nadeem has been top wicket taker of Jharkhand with 18 wickets this season.For Jammu & Kashmir Parvez Rasool has been the player of the season so far making 514 runs and Ram Dayal performing well with the ball taking 18 scalps up until now.

At stumps, Jharkhand have managed to reach 3 for 304. Saurabh Tiwary is still out there on 52 while he has Ishank Jaggi for company on 17. It wasn’t a good day for the J&k bowlers, as they struggled to gain any control over the match. The opening day honours go to Jharkhand, who have gained the upper hand in the match. Jammu and Kashmir would be disappointed by their bowling effort so far and would look to make early amends, or else the match will be soon gone out of their reach.

Kishan has now been replaced by Saurabh Tiwary, who was once in the India reckoning and even played three ODIs for the country.

Live cricket scores Jharkhand | 176/1 | Overs 46 | Batting: I Kishan 103(118), Anand Singh 71(35): Hundred for Ishan Kishan! Young opener Ishan Kishan has reached to his maiden First-Class hundred in style. The left-handed batsman has scored his ton in a quick time. His stroke-filled innings consists of 16 boundaries and a six. Anand Singh too has played a good hand here, as he is unbeaten on 71. The two have so far added 176 runs, all that Jharkhand have scored. J&K desperately need a wicket here.

Both Kishan and Anand Singh have added all the 128 runs since. They have achieved personal milestones too in the process. Both have reached to their fifties and are looking well set for big scores here. What has been noteworthy here is that the runs have come at a brisk rate; 4 runs per over. J&K bowlers have struggled so far. Barring R Sharma, all others have given runs at above three per over.

On the other hand, Anand Singh is giving him a good company, with unbeaten on 33. The partnership between the two has reached 90 runs.

But the hosts didn’t have the best of the starts as they lost their opener SP Gautam in the first over itself. J&K’s opening bowler Ram Dayal trapped him right in front of the wickets, as Gautam couldn’t even open his account. I Kishan and Anand Singh are playing at the moment and have recovered their team from the opening over blues.
